"Better" is a long conversation. People feel more safe with the V1. V2 is much easier to do... a simple bolt on. All 4 wheels can be done in less than an hour.

However... with the stock Z wheels... V2 will not work in the front. Definitely not for 15mm spacers. 20mm spacers need a slight mod of the wheel or studs (which I would not recommend) and 25mm is too big for the front. Basically, from my understanding.. V1 is needed for the front. I currently have 15mm V2 on the rear and nothing on the front. 15mm V1 is ordered and I'll probably install them this coming weekend.

At least V1 on the front is easy. V1 on the rear is a bit of a pain, so V2 is a better chose there unless you enjoy disassembling the e-brake assembly. I went for V1 all around because I take the spacers on and off depending on what wheels I'm using that day.

What kind of lugs do you use when you pull the spacers off and have the extra stud length?

The other wheels have a thick face and there isn't as much protruding as you might think. actually before extending them I felt the studs were too short for those wheels. But regardless for those wheels I use the Muteki open lugs.

Yes, (although very slight) it will add stress to the entire rear unit.
Anytime you extend a weight or rotating mass further from its anchor point your increasing stress (and the risk of increased wheel vibration).
It's like this... take a 25lb weight and hang or spin it around your elbow with arm extended... then move it out to your wrist area... you'll immediately note the difference in your shoulder!

Hey guys! So I just read this thread and want to make sure I'm right before I make any purchases.

For the front, I'm planning on going with the Ichiba V1 15mm and for the rear I am going to go with 20mm V2s. Sound like a good setup?

20/25 and go with H&R.....imho

Yes, DSR's for the 20mm front and for the rear 25mm which would be bolt on's. I do not believe H&R makes a DSR for 25mm.
