Default DIY: Adding Rear Nismo Performance Damper

So some people have added the front damper, which is a direct fit. I just finished adding the rear damper and wanted to provide some assistance to those who are interested in doing this.

First, here is a video demonstrating the function of the yamaha performance damper.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rhMuCUPWxE

Onto the DIY:

The damper mounts to a cross brace on the rear bottom of the car. Unfortunately, the cross braces are different between the nismo and nonnismo cars. The nonnismo does not have the mounting holes and brackets for the damper. So i welded a piece of flat rectangular steel to the brace.

Then I aligned the damper over the brackets and drilled the 4 mounting holes:

Then I tapped M10x1.25 threads on the brackets. Now the brace bolts right on.

Installed on the car:

Presto, BeemaaZ and badthing like this.

Awesome work man, did you do this because the parts were not available?

Is that still the case now? Did you notice a difference once installed?

Are these the parts in question, i realize this was 4 yrs ago

Sorry for all the questions - thanks
