and yah, leave the rear stock for now. the front only in mid- setting should make the car feel real good.

Dragon_Ball_Z 10-31-2014 11:24 AM

I replaced the back already :(

Dragon_Ball_Z 10-31-2014 11:28 AM

I put the front on the middle setting and the back on the first hole

oh...just take it easy for a while when you drive cause the car will respond differently.. honestly the rear bar is fine on this car, just the front needs a tad bit of stiffening.

btw my car is stock height stock dampers/springs, nismo wheels with RE11's.

Dragon_Ball_Z 10-31-2014 11:37 AM

I will, recommend alignment? I am also lowered on tein springs and sport wheels. I just put springs on last week and haven't aligned either

lgarcia 01-03-2015 12:50 PM

So for just spirited driving the recommendation would be to change the front and leave the rear one as is OEM? which brand front one is the one to go with? my Z is a 2014 on stock sport wheels, springs

kenchan 01-03-2015 07:46 PM

Yah, on my 09 I'm just running the front whitelines. Stock rear bar.

Thanks for DIY, very simple install, but I wouldn't have tackled it without this.

are you guys reusing OEM bolts? I bought a used set and bolts weren't included

zefaulter 04-07-2015 07:18 PM

Finished the install. I can't believe how easy the front was. Rear was a PITA

Did you end up using the stock bolts?

I hear the bolt on control arm is kinda hard to get out without power tool. I'm sure you have a impact wrench if not the bolt is easily accessible not like the demon bolt

Awesome DIY dude! well this is on my to do list and i want to start looking what is the best option for me.... My Z is my daily driver car and my track machine sometimes :) I have already the Swift Springs and SPC rear camber arms... I read a few threads about the sway bars and i see that almost everyone buy the Whitelines or Hotchkis... also read that some members just install the front sway bar. Any helps are going to be great  and sorry for revive another sway bar thread from the dead looool!

Thanks guys I be waiting for the reviews and your recomendations!

kenchan 09-24-2015 03:00 PM

carlitos if i was to do it again i would just install the front stillen bar. similar torsion rate as the whitelines but has the collars welded just like the factory bar. :D

as for the rear.. i'd keep it stock.

gomer_110 09-24-2015 03:06 PM

Hotchkis front bar, stock rear bar. Our cars need all the front bar they can get. With the Hotchkis being the stiffest OTS bar available (last I knew at least) it's the best option.

Thanks a lot for the recommendations guys I really appreciated. gomer the problem is that i think the Hotchkis only sell as a set I think or i can buy it just the front bar.

Thanks!

gomer_110 09-25-2015 08:18 AM

Unfortunately last I checked what you said is true, the Hotchkis bars are only sold as a set. I'm sure if you checked around there's quite a few of us that just have our rear hotchkis bars laying in the corner somewhere collecting dust.

Carlitos! Socio, I bought the hotchkis and installed it today. Hotchkis sells the front by itself on their website, look for the bar 22441F, this is the front bar:

HOTCHKIS SPORT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS, PARTS, AND COMPLETE BOLT-IN PACKAGES » Blog Archive 2008+ NISSAN 370Z G37 G37S G35 SPORT FRONT SWAY BAR - HOTCHKIS SPORT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS, PARTS, AND COMPLETE BOLT-IN PACKAGES

Amazon Both Bars:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00

I bought both front and rear on amazon for $362. Front one by itself on the hotchkis website is $265. I may sell the rear on eBay for $200. If I sell the rear for that price, I ended up paying $162. Think about it lol.

Saludos

It was pretty easy. Remove the plastic undertray and then it's just 6 nuts. Maybe for me it was easier because my car has 3k miles, so everything is new. I used a ratchet with a long tube and an adjustable wrench to unbolt the end 17mm nuts and a 14mm socket with just a basic ratchet to remove the bushing nuts. I used blue loctite threadlocker after I put the bar to make sure they dont come off. Wait till you get under the car it's pretty easy. The only thing that may slow you down is if the nuts don't want to come off. Also I used the ramps in the pic. Lol I did not take pics of the bar. Was too pumped to go and drive and forgot about taking pics.

Lol ok hahaha I guess I didn't read right. Bar feels amazing. I really felt the difference when turning at high speed. The car feels super stable. Before, when turning fast the cart felt kind of wiggly. Now there is a lot less body roll. You'll notice the difference once you turn lol.

Like to say thankyou to Chrisslicks for this DIY. Extremely useful and easy to follow

P's_Z 05-01-2017 12:13 PM

From the looks of the pics, it seems everyone is staying with the oem endlinks, hows that working for the ones that have only installed the front sway?
