The PROPER way to do it is to weld the holes in, grind them smooth, and then paint the surface. There's tons of other options that range from terrible to

The PROPER way to do it is to weld the holes in, grind them smooth, and then paint the surface.

There's tons of other options that range from terrible to decent. Kenchans method is good for areas that aren't on the exterior of the body. No matter what you do, make sure to seal the raw metal somehow to avoid rust. If it's exposed to water, I like to put some silicone around the hole before putting the plug in.
