DIY: Replace dreaded steering-lock on 2009s and early 2010s.

Question: íf the steering lock mechanism failed - are you still able to get the car to the ON position? My car wont start, but it does cycle to ACC

My car wont start, but it does cycle to ACC and ON. Yet instead of starting everything turns off again.
