Great write up! Got me thinking though. How much extra thread is there on the splined shaft that the wheel bolts to? Is there any prospect of spacing the wheel

How much extra thread is there on the splined shaft that the wheel bolts to? Is there any prospect of spacing the wheel out? Even 1/2" would help. Figure I'd ask here before I start tearing my car apart. Thanks! Lou
