Stock air box: Molded or snapped together?

Hey DIYers, Anyone know if the two halves of the OEM airboxes are just snapped together or are they molded together? There appears to be a slot in the bottom

Hey DIYers, Anyone know if the two halves of the OEM airboxes are just snapped together or are they molded together? There appears to be a slot in the bottom for a screwdriver or other tool to pry the two ends apart, but there is very little give and I don't want to risk breaking it if the two ends are molded together. This is for a custom intake project I am working on -- thanks in advance __________________ Enjoy it. Destroy it.
