Just a quick update. Still no word from NavTool - seriously unimpressed!
Anyway.... I chose to mount my NavTool under the dash by the 12v socket. The advantage of doing this is you don't need to extend the video cable and you have an easy 12v supply. There is plenty of room to tuck it away under the dash and it's easy to get to if you want to plug something else it or change the brightness control.
