I like the way it turn it on just the rear fog light on at night and all u see is the rear fog light and blacked out lol:driving: |
Why can I not find the harness on the 370Zsource.com? Are they not available yet, or is it a special order thing, or a have to call into the store? Any suggestions?
|
Currently they only have limited supply, you have to email/call to order one. The next shipment will be a larger order and I think they will add it to the website then.

I allready have the fog light installed with a 3rd braking light option... but sometimes it attracts to much attention from the cops... So I would like the switch to be able to turn it off... Thanks! |

I just want the switch. |
My concern is the overall expense. How much extra for the "cat" scan? :icon17:

Hey so I'm a newb, and I have the harness/fog light from the Z-store, how do I wire it through the arm rest like you did, and then where does the positive wire tap into.....i.e. which one is accessory power (+)? Is it one of the wires tucked away at the bottom underneath the AC? I managed to follow the other DIY about getting the dash and radio off, but got stuck at the faceplate to the radio/ac....mine won't budge and I'm afraid I'll break it? I think I removed all the screws. Please help.

I just installed my fog light and harness and it works great. Did u guys disconnect the battery before doing the install? I
asking because after I plugged my battery back up my windows have been acting up. Usually when u open n close the door the window moves down and then back up when you close the door. Now it goes down but doesn't go back up. So if I repeatedly open n close my door my window gets lower n lower. Help please. |
|
Just search the forums for window reset and do what the first link says to reset. Whatever u do don't take it to the dealer like I did the first time and have them rip u off. Very easy fix.

AK,
I bought this harness and am going to do the install myself but am a little confused on exactly where the hot lead was picked up in the dash board. Is there a red lead wire available in the dash or what? The picture isn't close enough for me to see exactly where the wire is picked up from. thanks as always a great jog After reading the above posts, I just used the yellow and black wire to the second power outlet and put in a molex connector to attach the harness. Worked out well and looks just like AK's installation. By the way the relay used in my harness was Nissan part number 25230-7996A. The harness makes the install much simpler. |
AK, can you also PM me where you got the harness/switch? THANKS! :tiphat:

whats the difference between the one you got and the jspec one?
|
Nice job, but can anyone please tell me the reason for this fog like? i hope i wont have to drive backwards in the fog.
|
It is a brighter light than the standard tails to help people see you on foggy or rainy days. It keeps you from getting rear ended.
|
Same reason as front fog lights. It sits low to be better visible in the fog and rain.
|
My only complaint with this setup is that there is no indication as to whether the light is on or off.
Other than that, I love how factory it looks. |
Has anyone located a source for the steering column stalk switch assembly (left hand drive) with the fog light switch present? I have found the right hand drive stalk (courtesyparts.com) but not the left hand version.

Here is a picture of the largest harness in the back of a bose audio unit (top drivers side connector). I took it right from the service manual. My question is which wire do I tap into to get power to the fog light?
My first instinct is the #19 large yellow wire then I thought about #7 blue wire can anyone confirm which one to use? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4001/...b588ce7a91.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3409/...1498449dfb.jpg |
No need to answer the previous post. Just got my light working.
There is no need to remove the radio. Next to the shifter where the original poster recommended attaching the ground wire, there are a few wires wrapped in electrical tape. They run right along the inside of the center console piece on the DRIVER'S side. Push the clips back through the hole to free up the wires. Peel back the electrical tape and splice your power wire of the wiring harness into the YELLOW wire. These wires run to the center console power outlet. Some previous posters were using this to power the light. Just wanted to share so that people don't pull off there center console because it is not needed. |
I tapped into the tail lights. I was running wires back there anyway...
|
AK did you use the red clip thing the relay came with to tap into the power source???
