Default EGT Gauge

I have tried to search the forum seeing if anyone has had this idea so far but wasn't able to find it.
I would like to know if it is possible/has been done to install an egt gauge in the cluster. I would like to remove the outside temperature probe and install in its place a probe that would show me the temperature of the exhaust gases, but have no idea in what kind of probe i should use, where to install it and such.

If anyone could please help me out, I would be thankful

Regards!

You'd have to drill and tap one of the manifolds. The probe will come with the gauge. You'd need a separate gauge, rather than the outside temperature readout. Are you boosted? A NA car doesn't really need to see egts.

Not boosted, i would just like to switch the exterior temp probe to an egt one, just to see what kinds of temperatures i am running, rather than having an external temp gauge... Could i have some problems with drilling the manifolds?

Thanks
