Default Just a Question??

I know this thread is ancient, but yes, Adams is the exact same as Chemical Guys and Poorboys. Do not believe anyone who tells you different. It's bottled/packaged differently, but it's exactly the same. And no Chemical Guys does not do their own manufacturing either. Warner Chemical is who does the manufacturing for all three. You buy in bulk from Warner, and then repackage and resell it however your want. I can go in tomorrow with enough coin and start up YoMomma's Detail supplies and have the exact same products as Poorboys/Chemical Guys/Adams.

And yes, I've been to their warehouse in Gardena. (Even though I didn't realize it was in Compton when I hunted it down!)

You resurrected a 2 year old thread to argue about car detailing products as your first post... Come on man...

Not to bring to the front the flaw in your trollin' but they moved the warehouse from Torrance, California to Bolder, Colorado.

Allow me to enlighten you as an Adam's employee (Dylan), who would know has already addressed this. I'll quote him.

"Let me just put this to bed for you now. We are not, have not, and never will be associated with CG. Its an ugly rumor, spread by CG to undermine the competition. The running joke in the industry is that if you ask them who built your car they'll likely tell you they have a plant that turns out Z's for Nissan in the back of their shop. To those who actually know the truth of it all, its funny that this rumor carries the weight it does - people who perpetuate it generally base their "knowledge" on assumptions and things that they read on other forums.

Used to be rumored we were the same b/c we were close together geographically... well, we moved to Boulder, CO years ago. So much for that.

Then there's the stuff about CG is or owns Warner Chemical... I don't think Dave Warner, the owner of Warner Chemical would take too kindly to that. We buy some of our raw materials from Warner, at some time CG may have as well, but that's about the extent of it.

We source raw materials and concentrates from about 7 different sources currently... none of them are CG... only one of them is still in California (Warner). All our products are our proprietary recipes, either mixed in house, or blended to our specifications off-site due to logistical reasons.

Then there's the one big flaw in the philosophy - CG DOESN'T MAKE ANYTHING FOR ANYONE! They are not a raw materials manufacture, they don't have chemical vats and silos at their location, they buy materials from other companies just like we do. Actual chemical manufactures are few and far between... very few companies have the means to synthesize polymers and blend raw chemicals... 3M/Meguiar's are one of the very few operations that have the means to actually MAKE their own stuff entirely in house and that's because 3M is a multinational fortune 500 company with decades of chemical manufacturing experience and the means to do it."

So there's the word, straight from a Adam's employee in the know. You now know just as the rest of the world knows. Any deniel of the truth from here on out is just trollin'.

Your going to enlighten me with a quote from a Adams employee? LMAO. You, yourself are a Adams employee and/or paid or compensated by them.
Please with a straight face tell us your not. Your on here defending Adams and don't even own a 370Z. I do.

And see, in your voracious defense of Adams, your response is flawed itself. Not once, did I say Adams was affiliated with CG. (Nice try though.) Nor did I say CG is affiliated with Warner. (Again, nice try.) All I said is that Adams and Chemical Guys sells the EXACT SAME product, which in turn is manufactured by Warner Chemical.

The best analogy to use is Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T all sell the I-phone.
Let's say Verizon is Adams, Sprint is Chemical Guys, and AT&T is Poorboys, and Apple is Warner Chemical. Same phone, different sellers.

I've searched the Patent databases and found where Adams, Poorboys, and CG does not own one single solitary patent. (If what Dylan says is true, and it's proprietary, then certainly Adams would protect their intellectual property, or else they are stupid.) On the other hand, Warner owns quite a few.

So there you go. The truth shall set you free.

And no, I'm not hating on Adams/CG/Poorboys per say, I wish success for everyone, all I'm hating on is when folks spread lies and untruths.

That's exactly what you're doing. That's why you revived a 2 year old thread with your first post. I don't work for Adam's, nor am I employed by them. I work for myself and write my own paycheck. Had you done some research, that you would have seen.

Let's face it, the saying on the Internet is true and you're a perfect example...

So your saying you don't work for Adams, employed by Adams, or compensated by Adams, but yet you have a coupon code on the bottom of your posts for Adams. Now who's the liar? So let's just say I type in "The Junkman" on a Adams purchase, and you receive no money?

And please tell me Junkman, one lie or falsehood, I stated up there. Just one. You can't.

Whereas you are lying by stating your not compensated by Adams. Just tell the truth Junkman. Is it that hard? Did your parents or Master Guns not teach you that telling fibs ain't exactly good for the soul?

Again, the truth shall set you free.

The coupon code is used to track who is watching my videos. That's how I keep track of how popular they are. I know you find that hard to believe but here's a nugget, I don't get compensated by Zaino or Meguiar's either. I've made videos for them too. Did you miss those? How about all the videos that I made for CABC Foundation? That's right, I pay every year to attend. How can I afford to do all this? Because MY company pays me a hell of a lot of money to do what I do.

So are you done trollin' yet?

USMC stuff aside, Tracking your videos by offering people a percentage off of Adams Products, is kinda wacky ain't it? Did you offer a percentage off to folks who watched your Meguairs and Zaino videos and bought from them also? How do you track your videos when they don't purchase Adams products? When that 1099 comes in from Adams, you can keep telling yourself that. Come on Junkman..........

The first videos I did were for Zaino and Meguiar's. Since then, I have had a ton of companies, not all having anything to do with detailing, approach me with different offers. They saw the videos and were impressed with what they saw, but wanted some kind of way to tell what audience and how much of an audience they were reaching. Since I didn't want to go the You Tube route of sticking advertisements on my videos at that time, the coupon code worked wonders. Now I'm thinking about the advertisement.

Since then, I have been paid by all kinds of companies to do various things, mostly classes. I even ended up teaching computer classes for CompUSA and AARP members at a local college in my town, since that is where my degree of study is in. So I really didn't need to be compensated by anyone for those videos because those videos brought in a totally different income stream for me. But here's the deal. My lifestyle is extremely streamlined. I can pay all my bills for the month with 10 hours of work at my business. Because of that, I can sit at home and pick and choose who I want to work with. That's the mentality of a Marine Corps grunt. You can learn to do without, and really not be doing without anything at all.

So have those videos done well for me? Hell yea, you saw the Lambo I was rubbing on. That kind of opportunity and the people I have met is worth more to me than any monetary amount. I've been flown abroad and to Canada just to show what I know. They don't get Adam's in the UK but my techniques transfer across any good product. So if the group I'm showing this stuff too uses Menzerna, then that's what I use. If they use Dodo Juice, that's what I use. If they use Meguiar's, I'm there. It doesn't matter what they use, I can make it work if the product is worth a dime.

So you're right, I'm getting paid big time. You just have the source all wrong in who is paying me the big dollars. Adam's is way to small to have me on their payroll.

I wholeheartedly admit, well said sir. Well said. Lambos and Ferrari's aside, we'll have to get you down here to Lake Norman and take a trip down to Freeport and help topside detail a 26 million dollar Trinity yacht with a crew of 14. 3 weeks paid stay at Coral beach, Airfare included, 8am-6pm; Sun-Fri, 6 day work week with Saturday off. Three days off to do whatever you want in the 3 week period. Pay is $1500 a week. June 10th-30th And no, your beloved pc won't cut it. Dynabrade 51570's w/IR compressors only.

CG/PB/AD's still sell the same stuff though!
