A long time ago some people thought washing their cars with soap would strip the wax. I think that's why some people think soap is bad for the paint. It's not a problem if you use quality car soap. I use spray wax afterwards.

BWAHAHAHAHAAA! I'm sure plain water suffices to get one's body clean, right? :)

Washing a car (or anything) with water only is called "rinsing".

Griots garage car wash FTW. Organic and it stopped killing my grass LOL.

I use optimum car soap and pour the leftover soap water on my lawn.

Really?

If I was him I'd recommend you never wash it, and only bring it back to him for wash or detailing every other week.

how much was the detail? $250? yup, he's a business man.

Soap does remove some wax. It depends on the soap as to how much wax is removed. But to not use any soap to wash the car?

:wtf2:

I think he was being a wise guy... All the dirt won't just slip off the car now that it's clean LOL. That's the idea he was trying to make i think.

happytheman 09-20-2011 08:53 PM

Yup, until the day his Z is sold or retired it will never again need soap! :)

If it were only so simple.

SmallermouseZ 04-07-2012 11:45 PM
