Default whats up with inside door panels

Has anyone noticed or had a issue with the black padded doors.
mine look like there's some sort of white powder on it..
and I'm real careful about not touching or rubbing up against them.

would steam cleaning them hurt the fabric. and has anyone had their cloth
seats steam cleaned and did it help or is it just a waste of time and money.

thanks for any advice...................

I just use a Little Green Machine on my seats and doors. Cleans everything up quite nicely.
Even though my LGM is heated, I don't know that I'd go the full steam-cleaning route. That kind of temps might cause unforeseen problems.
