I do the reverse. I use my dual action with a soft red pad to apply the wax in a very thin coat. Then I remove it by hand. Since the coat is thin, it's a breeze. If you put it on by hand, you may put it on too thick to remove it easily with your buffer. Plus it's annoying to having to change bonnets -- they get saturated quickly.

Never used "the foamy" you mention, but there is probably plenty of info on the Adam's site about the best ways to apply and remove it. You can also check out http://www.autopia.org/ ....plenty of good info there
