was driving up a hill then suddenly a rock flew and hit my windshield, i couldnt tell if it came from the car in front of me or somebody threw

a rock cracked my front windshield
was driving up a hill then suddenly a rock flew and hit my windshield, i couldnt tell if it came from the car in front of me or somebody threw it, but i definitly saw it coming about 5 feet away, it was a size of a quarter. it didnt look too bad from the inside, it only looks like there were 2 crack lines, but when i stop to take a look from the outside it was shattered...
do u guys think its possible to repair it? or do i have to replace the windshield?
