Default Paint touch up/Deep scratch

This weekend I was driving and passing a truck when all of a sudden I hear a loud bang from the passenger side. This is what I saw when I went to go look. It's pretty noticeable (especially to me) considering the size and where it exactly is. How would you guys go about repairing this?

I've watched a few youtube videos about fixing rock chips etc. but this seems a bit deeper than a rock chip. Do you guys think products like Dr.Colorchip and possibly some bondo will be able to cover this? Or should I go with a process of using sandpaper around the surrounding damage area then going in with paint? Much like this youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xi3xmeO6C4

Please share any advice you have with me!

Default

It's mainly for chips in the paint but it may work for the scratch (possibly with some bondo/filler underneath)

I've heard nothing but great things from them so this may be a good solution, check out their products and demonstrations, you may be able to fix it. Attempt a practice on an old bumper etc.. if you can
