Everything in the description of this products screams crap. In the description, it states, "There are NO ABRASIVES, NO SILICONE, NO AMMONIA, and NO FILLERS in this product. Then in the NEXT paragraph, it states, "M-Ron Glass removes light oxidation.

How can it remove oxidation if it doesn't contain any abrasives??? Add to that, most folks here know that POLISHING is what makes paint shine, NOT wax.

Sounds like snake oil to me.

I really don't totally agree with this. My car is 2 & 1/2 yrs. old & all I have ever used on it is Meguiar's Gold Class carnauba plus wax. I have never used any polish & I think it shines pretty good.

Park it next to a car that I have worked on at a car show. Your opinion will drastically change.

I would LOVE to see a video of YOUR car in direct sunlight like this.

Everyone doesn't need to have a car that is car show quality. You made a statement that wax doesn't shine & that was a bad statement. That was what I was responding to.

Oh, so you are BACK PEDALING now. Everyone doesn't need some crappy car to be show car quality but I don't know any Z owners who bought their car because it is just a car and it will get them from point A to point B. Every Z owner I know really likes their car and wants it to look as nice as it did on the showroom floor, ESPECIALLY the people reading this. But okay, allow me to be a bit more CRYSTAL clear.

If you use a correcting wax like Hi-Temp's Midnight Express, you CAN remove SMALL imperfections in your paint, WHICH WILL create somewhat of a shine. That is because that wax CONTAINS POLISH, which is what you use to creates a shine.

Now you can take some crappy wax and use it to grind the oxidation off your car (scratching it all up in the process), but the only people I know who do that are people who get all of their detailing products at Costco and Auto Zone. They don't know any better. If they didn't care about their car, they wouldn't by anything and they wouldn't be cleaning it themselves. They would simply drive it through a car wash and collect as many swirls as they possibly could. Now name me one Z owner who is doing that and reading these post. People in this section of the forum CARE about the appearance of their car and want to do what they can to keep the appearance as nice as possible. Because of that, people like myself who are informed about this stuff want to make sure that they have access to the best advice possible. That's why reading what you wrote is not remotely going to float in here because those in the know, know better.

So there's nothing wrong with what you do to YOUR car because hey, it's YOUR car. But trust me, I will definitely address any bad information that I see posted here because the ONLY thing I will tell a guy to do to HIS car is something that I would allow him to do to mine. Trying to create a shine with WAX is NOT something I would let somebody do to my car and I definitely won't advise them to do it to theirs.

If I am going to take the time to fix some paint, you can darn well bet that I am either going to do it right or not bother at all. You can thank the Marines for that. I wish everyone had that mindset. That vehicle in that video is a Toyota Camry. Do you think that it is a show car? No, it's a daily driver, owned by someone who cares about their car. He doesn't attend car shows. He just likes his car to look nice.

I was just voicing my opinion. I didn't know I wasn't allowed to have an opinion. SORRY! So you think Meguiar's carnauba plus is a crappy wax? It seems with you it is your way or no way & that is why I'm not on your bandwagon.

You can have and post ALL the opinions that you want but when you call me out by saying that I'm wrong, don't get your feeling all hurt when I show you the error in your thinking. Had you just said that you have had a lot of success with the product you use, I would have never replied. But when you call me out, get ready to see a response.

I never said ANYTHING about how good the product you are using is, I just stated that wax, especially THAT wax isn't for making paint shine. It's a PROTECTANT, NOT a shining agent. That wax doesn't even contain a polishing agent (as no carnuba paste wax does), so if you are using it to create a shine, then you are clearly doing it wrong. If we gave your paint the flash test, there's no telling what we would see.

There are multiple roads that lead to Shineville. YOU are definitely NOT on any of them. You cannot unplug a mind before it's time, as is the case with you. I don't need bandwagon fans as you can't spend them. But I can use dead presidents and people fly me around the nation to teach them this stuff, while giving me those dead presidents to boot (and this isn't even my REAL job!). One day, maybe you will learn to put your feelings aside and take some good advice, especially when the proof is clearly there for the world to see. Or, you can take the blue pill, wake up in the morning and believe whatever you want to believe. Most folks here have freed their minds and know just how deep the rabbit hole goes.

There is really no such animal. At least not a "great" one and here's why.

You want a wax or sealant to protect your paint as long as possible so that you don't have to keep reapplying it over and over again. The problem with an AIO product (all in one, as they are called in the industry), is that there's a give and take. They don't remove a lot of damage, only LIGHT damage. Some of them contain fillers which are used to mask damage instead of removing it. Most of these products work best with a rotary polisher, which is the MOST DANGEROUS polisher you can use, and you DON'T EVEN want to pick up as a novice. Masking damage is like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. Also, the protection that you get from an AIO product is never as good as a straight wax or sealant. So if I am going to remove damage from my paint, I am going to use a straight compound or polish and then I'm going to protect that shine that I have just created with a straight wax or sealant. In MY case, I use a sealant and then top it with a carnuba paste wax.

Now AIO products DO HAVE THEIR PLACE in the detailing industry. If you get a customer who wants some MINOR damage removed and some wax applied to their car but only want to pay you with bananas, then a AIO product is great for getting the car in and out of the shop really quick. It won't be perfect but hopefully you can remove most of the damage and mask the rest. Once the customer washes the car enough times, the masked damage will return but hey, you get what you pay for. The best advice that I can give you is to buy a AIO that is actually manufactured by the company that you buy it from. To date, Meguiar's, Hi-Temp, Griot's ane Menzerna are 4 lines that I can think of off the top of my head. I prefer Hi-Temp's Midnight Express because they are a mom and pop business. I like to support small American businesses because I own a small business too (an I.T. company, not a detailing company). I want to keep as much of my money in the good ol' US of A as I can.

Hope that helps!
