Nissan 370Z Forum

Dear Junkman, friends or anyone who can help.

Steel wool works wonders on glass and chrome. Don't use it on your mirrors.

That's a good way to end up with scratches all over the place. You have to be SPECIFIC when telling someone to use steel wool.

0000 Steel Wool is available at most any hardware store and can be used on glass. Especially useful for getting stuff like overspray off glass, but works for cleaning stubborn stuff off glass. Keep it wet, so just spray glass cleaner as you are rubbing the steel wool.

I'm sure there's a dedicated product for this but.... My go to for polishing all sorts of things is Mothers Mag Wheel Polish, surprisingly I've had pretty good luck using it on old glass as well. I primarily used it because I always have some on the shelf.
