The Leno vid was basically a commercial. The guy talks about investing in the company near the three minute mark.

Not sure what the purpose of the second vid was. Just some guy steam cleaning a car.

The last vid looks suspiciously like a commercial to me but I'm not 100% sure.

I saw nothing to convince me that steam cleaning is a good idea. Unless you live in a water-restricted area.

And that's the thing. When you run it up the advantages pole, there are no clear advantages with it. Plus the thing cost a fortune. If you have to stop and ponder for a while about doing something, that's your common sense taping you on the shoulder trying to keep you from uttering those famous last words.

Just out of curiosity, setting aside the damage done by wiping down a car even with a microfiber cloth...what does steam do to your typical, or even your high-end car wax?

The melting point of both carnauba and silicone car wax is about 80◦C. 100◦C degree steam blasted at it can't be a good thing, can it?

FWIW, steam is invisible. What you are seeing is condensation. So what is coming out the nozzle is not quite 100C - but still well above the 80C figure you gave.

I'd also be concerned that, with aluminum body panels, some warpage might occur if the steam jet is left in one place too long. Anybody have that happen?

It shortens the longevity of any kind of wax that you are using a LOT faster than washing with water.

Well, when I was in the Marines, the part of the base were I stayed was in bum fuk Egypt. Those plump piglets would come all the way out there because none of the other women would and a drunk Marine would park his mule in any stable. If you didn't have a car, you were left trying to hog tie one of these heifer's down at the end of the night.

Thank God for Hustler, Cheri, Swank and Leg Show magazine.

Good call, but not quite THAT far out. I don't remember ever seeing a female at 29 Palms. It was Camp Horno, where the horniest of Marines were dumped at in the middle of no where on Camp Pendleton.
