OK...so I've just contacted all the dealers east of the Mississippi with this car in their inventory, and they have no plans to discount 2017s as a result of them

OK...so I've just contacted all the dealers east of the Mississippi with this car in their inventory, and they have no plans to discount 2017s as a result of them being last years' model -- even when I told them I had cash. They're in the 43-46k range. I refuse to overpay for this car, because I know others with low mileage are selling in the mid 30s. Frustrating!
