I'm afraid the winter tires will cost an arm and a leg though. I'll worry about that in October.

Working downtown has the benefit of being able to subway or drive :D Employee parking

They will cost an arm an half a leg ;)

driving downtown with Z is a nightmare... all those damn pot holes and freaking cabbies. constructions now don't help. I would stay away in any season

minimal maintenance for the first little while. do a lot of research. this forum is the best tool we have.

100% get bumper and full hood clear bra ASAP. I cannot stress this enough specially because you will drive during the winter too.

opticoat is good too. research that and contact GaleForce from here if you want it done.

all these are prevention. you will be spending around 1k but trust me its worth it.

as for the tires, I run 18" wheels with 235 wide tires. you will need really wide spacers specially for the rears if you don't want it to look weird.

Hi, Any place you recommend in GTA to get a Clear Bra done on Z?
Looking into that for my car too.
Thanks,

What kind of fuel is acceptable for this car?

octane 89? 91? 93?

zefaulter 06-13-2014 07:35 PM

Get the highest you can regularly get and stick with it

91 minimum!

but as zefaulter said get the highest octane you can get constantly, I know myself and a few others tend to stick with the 94 octane available at a lot of petro-can stations

Does 91 and 94 have any difference in milage?

There is such a marginal difference that it doesn't really matter.

Unless you are trying to Hyper-mile your 370z which defeats the purpose of having it.

91 and 94 Octane is for engine compression, use 89 and you will get some engine knocking because of premature ignition.

Prolong engine knocking will wear and tear your engine faster.

When you drive a Z mileage shouldn't be an issue, go out an enjoy it.

LMBmikeZ 06-16-2014 01:57 PM

:iagree: screw the gas mileage I use 94 to reduce engine knock like boomer said....

Has anyone gone to petro and gotten a car wash with their car? Wondering if the car is too low or not.

I go to esso when I'm lazy or during colder winter days, I have a video that you probably don't want to watch all the way. It gets boring lol

I went to an Esso, touchless wash. Had to go a bit further to find one but it was definitely worth it. Got all the gunk from the dirty rain water off.

Looks amazingly shiny again :D

Now onto something a little more sad....I drove down to Niagara falls and parked it in a hotel parking spot thinking people might be a little more careful. I went to have fun for the day and when I came back, someone had dinged my driver's side area. Just a little bit behind the door handle before the wheel area. It's really small and unnoticeable in most cases but I think my OCD is over reacting.

The ding isn't too serious or anything but...any suggestions on what to do?

Access will be a biatch for pdr
