I'm thinking about V12. 760 is another option I can get from costco. RE11 is probably the most I would spend for tires. if you buy from US, you might save less than $100(after gas) problem is, you won't get support for them like you would if you bought locally. That's how I look at it at least. |
^ agreed with zefaulter.
going to the states is no longer worth it to save a measly couple bucks |

However normally I order a bunch of stuff and go pick it up all at once. Just gotta use one of those cross boarder shipping services like Kinek, then you can capitalize on the free shipping many companies/vendors offer for shipments in the lower 48. Then you also gotta remember to bring back some of the cheap alcohol they have in the states  |
I gotta pick up tires for my new 19" SLs too. I'm thinking of Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Not sure yet. I'm guessing they're gonna cost an arm and a leg, I'm definitely going with 305s in the rear.
|
lol yo kev I went 18s lol

All I know is 19" 305 Michelin PSS tires are big $$$$$$ I expected better grip from them. Now I need to figure out what I'm going to use after I burn these off.

The cost for 19" tires are crazy in the head:bowrofl: |

Maybe I should just get Ventus V12s and call it a day. |

V12's yes probably fine, but falkens just stay far far away! Save your money and buy a half decent tire! IMO
|
you would probably get better life out of a set of winter tires on the Z through the summer then running falkens!
|
Just did some price check on tirerack and size comparing websites. to keep the size close to stock, you need 275/40/18. Per tire that size, you can save only $10-$20(for PSS that's $60 per tire). just saying, I wouldn't do it just to save that much

i didnt get 18s for the tire savings. im going to be slaying tires all day anyway :D
i mainly went with it for the weight savings. i went with an 11 inch rear width. even at that width they're 17.5 lbs each. i went nuts after holding one in my hand, i couldn't believe it. |

when I get wheels I am thinking of going with 20's. but I do not plan on anything competitive for the car track day wise, would just be for fun and to legally speed/drive really fast! :driving: |

with any kind of racing making the car lighter helps it in almost all respects better braking faster acceleration better handling most of the fun of driving occurs between 60 and 200 anyways. im either going to go with a really high attack angle wing or 2pc rotors next. |
Ire for all our sakes:icon14:
What in gods name are you planning:roflpuke2: we needs to know the full details of your brain scheme :bowrofl: |
OT: Are any of your dealerships mod-friendly? I probably shouldn't bring a modded Z back to the dealer for any type of work/service right?
|

going in for a warrenty claim probably not the best idea, they would say something along the lines of "you know that shift knob you installed may have affected your steering lock I am affraid we are no longr able to cover it under warrenty" :roflpuke2::roflpuke2: |
if your just going in for oil change or service work then sure NP they would love to drool over your car and happily take your money! but as soon as you try to get something out of them you will likely hit a few bumps along the way :ugh2:

dont worry about dealership issues. i have people in most infiniti/nissan dealerships in the GTA. just tell me ahead of time and ill let them know i know you
i cant help you scam the company, but pretty close ;) |

And I approve this message  @IRE Let us know what you are doing already.. You're keeping things a little cryptic and hush hush.. i though we are all friends here... Share share!!! |
:iagree:

question for you GTA guys that may or may not know Harvin but did he sell is Z or is he?
my younger brother was telling me that a guy he knows from school bought/is buying "the mellow yellow from importfest" he said something about the guy already put a down payment on it! I hope this helps the Z community come to life more out here in South Western Ontario  |
Interesting! The other ertefa slammed white Z is on sale too

On the topic if dealership and getting work done. Does anyone recommend a shop to get stuff installed at with decent rates( exhaust, sways ect)? Or does anyone in the area want to make some extra cash? Lol

and as for Harvin, pm me ill explain what's happening. and for your brothers friend... his name is Miki Culum. I dunno what im allowed to say about either car tho lol and the reason im not divulging anything is there isnt anything to say. I have a bunch of parts sitting in my basement, nothing is 100% yet ... im very open to trading and/or selling what i have to get a more optimal setup. Hence my earlier questions about setups. I have seats (90% chance i wont be keeping these tho),coils, sways, intake, exhaust (mid and x) rims and brakes all sitting around. All of it is new in box (opened cuz i couldn't help myself) but all still in packaging so its good to sell/trade if i find a better deal. At the moment i have a huge issue with deciding whether to keep the TEs i have or trade them for a square setup of larger TEs. Or sell these and buy new TEs that are lighter but a lot more expensive. Or wait for the TE37 ULTRAs that are coming out this summer which are designed for GTRs (and thus fit our cars perfectly as well). Also not sure if i should sell my Coilovers for the new iPhone controlled ride height KW V3s (which sound cool as hell)... or just sell both rims and coils for boost. see what i mean? i didnt want to go into it because nothing is set in stone and i dont wanna say i have all this and halfway down the line decide on putting a downpayment on a place and sell it all lmao. i personally give no Fs about being cryptic or do what all my carshow friends do "you'll see it at the show" kinda stuff. its a car, srsly who cares. plus everyone who has me on instagram/tumblr has already seen pics of all this. |

The scene is not that big and its not like anyone really cares about what's happening with the next guy, everyone's got their own car to worry about but to each their own :) |
Quote:
but yeah you guessed right. |

Some won't even disclose which car they're going to lease next. EDIT: OMG, the TE37 Ultras are :yum::yum::yum::yum:. |

Im just looking to do and CBE install, front & rear sways along with rear end links. If one of you end up doing it and are willing to show me changing pads and what not that would be much appreciated. I don't usually work on my own cars except rotate tires but I feel like if I want to hit the track Im gonna have to do some stuff at home! Edit: multi quote fail! galeforce, thanks for the offer as well. |
pads are super easy.
a bunch of us actually meet every month or so and have a BBQ/car day. it changes location but its usually either sauga or GTA how it works is we all drive to someone's house, everyone brings beer/food/whatever and we all work on the cars all day eating BBQ! then in the afternoon we hoon like retards cuz we all wanna test out the stuff we installed. it usually ends up at a tim hortons somewhere before we split up and go home. tons of fun. everyone here (and in our G35/G37/350/370 group) is super friendly and helpful. Id be glad to show you what i know as i've often had NO idea how to install something only to show up to a BBQ and have someone walk me through the install. CBEs you need a lift and a couple of us have garages we can swing by. That said, i need help doing front BBK install. I rebuilt them (which took forever) but i dunno what else i need (some kinda bracket i heard?) |
