i went with 20s both

LMBmikeZ 03-05-2013 05:00 AM

I went with 20F and 25R

the 305's are :yum: I need tires this year to and have been debating on going with 305s to

MrSir 03-05-2013 02:19 PM

i dont think those tires would fit on your stock 19" Rays. Plus a 295 wheel fills up the rear wheel arches without spacers. to make 305s fit with 20mm spacers i would assume you need to roll the fenders and possibly get a wide body kit. Unless ofcourse you want to use some other rims that aren't ment to fit on the Z due to their offset but with the spacers they fit.

Marcusz 03-05-2013 03:21 PM

I seen it here on the forum that it would fit on my car?????

sammy 03-05-2013 04:57 PM

I went with 15mm fron and 20mm back. The place I ordered them from said it was the best set up for the stock tires. The car looks great and no issues with tire rup or anything like that.

You definitely did see it! you can start here, this is just one of the most recent people running 305's on the rear plus spacers!

http://www.the370z.com/wheels-tires/...ml#post2194025

I am also considering 305's for when I replace tires this year.

Marcusz 03-05-2013 07:40 PM

So they do work right ? Now do i go 15/20 or 20/25 ?????? Spacers

LMBmikeZ 03-05-2013 07:45 PM

depends on which tires you go with. like it says in many threads, the sidewalls have different stiffnesses and that will effect what size spacers you should run:tup:

Alan_2010 from the other thread is running the RE-11's with 20/25 spacers.........

This is wrong...

I have 275 front and 305 rear on stock 19 sports, dropped on Swifts and running 15 fr and 20 rr spacers. No issues

sooooo..... do you have lowering springs or coilovers? You are going to be tight with 20/25!

Marcusz 03-05-2013 08:53 PM

No i dont i am all stock

wheee! 03-05-2013 08:55 PM

A lowered vehicle usually runs more negative camber, giving you more clearance under the wheel well....
Pick up some Swifts and you're good to go!

Marcusz 03-05-2013 09:02 PM

Ill look it up

ahhh I didn't realize marcuz was not lowered.

ya you will need some springs minimum to have those fit the camber helps out a lot, you might also want to look into getting some the SPC camber parts (for front and rear, rear for sure!) in case you have trouble with your alignment

Marcusz 03-05-2013 09:17 PM

Oh my god why is this so complicated grrrrrr, please someone help me,what do i need and where do i get all this stuff,i want re11s 305s

zefaulter 03-05-2013 09:35 PM

I'm gonna need tires too aargh. I'm on stock height so may stick with 275 or 285 with 25 spacers for rear, I know that works.

Marcusz 03-05-2013 09:40 PM

I might do the same, why bother going thru all that gor 305,gee its only 20 mm less lollllll

zefaulter 03-05-2013 10:08 PM

in case you wanted to have a look before you decide, have a look at scoot87's threat. He has all stock sizes with 20-25 spacers. I think it looks good

Marcusz 03-05-2013 10:50 PM

Ya it looks very good,it also looks like there is still lots of room for a rear 305 tire

LMBmikeZ 03-06-2013 04:49 AM

:iagree:

I am on tein s-tech springs with 20/25 H&R spacer combo. Check out the first two posts in my thread (http://www.the370z.com/40th-annivers...niversary.html) you can see the difference and IMO I think 305's could fit depending on the tire with no rubbing. I also have my alignment results posted to and I got it all back to OEM specs, well all but my front left it is a little out as you will see but not worried, just means I know I should get full SPC camber kit front and rear

NBZ34 03-06-2013 06:18 AM

I have H&R 20mm spacers all around on OEM 19" sport Rays and OEM tires. I'm lowered on Swift Spec-R springs. No rubbing issues and within factory specs on camber with SPC toe bolts on the rears. Everyone's car is different in what they need for proper alignment after installing spring... some need nothing, some need camber kits and like me, j ust some simple toe bolts... so you'll have to play it by ear to see what works for your setup.

Kamispeed is pretty popular but you can get them from numerous vendors here.

Coilovers are awesome for people that are more serious into performance and track. Street users rarely benefit from coilovers in the price/performance category.

Swifts= ~$350

Coilovers = ~$1200 +

IMHO Swifts are the best bang for the non-track car buck!

Having said that, I feel the Swifts are incredible in the handling department as well. I really believe that the Anti-sway bars would be redundant after the Swifts... again, not-tracking the car.

Marcusz 03-06-2013 11:04 AM

Ok cool ,so where do i get these in the gta area

wheee! 03-06-2013 11:13 AM

There are no Cdn distributors that I know of. Order from the forum for the best deal or check the Used Classifieds for a set.

TheGreatOne 03-07-2013 11:43 AM
