Dealer prep is awful. I never let dealers touch my cars. I don't even let them wash them. If you let a dealer wash your soft clear coated Z, you will have marring in your paint. A mitt or heaven forbid a brush that has been used on countless vehicles, is not a smart move. The kids they have washing, and detailing for that matter, have no clue as to what a proper job is. Even if they did they are not allotted enough time to do it in. If you care about your paint don't let them touch it. The VW dealer where we take the Jetta now has signs that say do not wash. Previously I made my own
