best reply yet I don't have it happen either, but like the others said above I would see if you are just entering the gate a bad angle (to far to the left) this might cause it to be more of a forced motion to get it into the second gear gate. It should be smooth transition between each gate you might just need to practice and as OP said just finding that sweet spot. I hope it is nothing mechanical and you can keep your Z without having to deal with taking it into the shop GL and hope it doesn't get worse
