don't be so jelly Ire :shakes head:

that Lexus is sick!

1 of his headlights is like 2/3 of yours :icon18:

looks so executive.. he must be in finance.

Fire 10-05-2012 11:13 AM

Sorry Shiny I agree with Ire. Hate to see cars lowered and have the tire tip in look. If you cannot lower it and keep it aligned don't do it. Anybody can add airbags it takes a real man to drive lowered all the time.

ShinyBlueZ 10-05-2012 11:29 AM

hahaha I was being totally sarcastic dude
that thing looks ridiculous and ghetto fabolous :bowrofl:

side story:

last week I pulled into a parking lot beside a riced out older black VW Golf (with some rust & hazy white spots on the paint & all)

the guy looks at my car for like 30 seconds.. then I hear him keep revving his fart-can exhaust to get my attention (I was in my car texting)
he finally sees me look over.. so he flips a switch on his Golf and it lowers about 8 inches and it's literally touching the ground. he nods at me, then shuts his car off.

at this point I felt such shame and embarrassment of my Z, which had no tricks of her own to retaliate

I think he is testing the ride-height to make sure his 'beat-up' is ready for the snow-shoveling duty this Winter....

thats exactly what i said when i saw the daytime running lights. that said, most people don't like the new rims but i love them. that gunmetal looks SO much nicer than our stock sport silver ones.

also i lolled @ the use of another picard reaction pic

I like the new rims too, looks pretty good...

It was so funny if you guys remember the first time we saw it we were saying how much we don't like the front and blah blah blah and Abdul was just right beside us... :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

ShinyBlueZ 10-05-2012 10:50 PM

you guys are azzholes! you need to wait for people to 'turn their backs' before you talk about how lame LED light strips are! :shakes head:

lol I'm not part of the majority then.. cuz oddly I'm not a big fan of the new sport rims.. I like OUR sport rims :icon18:

however I remember really liking the new 'base' rims

LMBmikeZ 10-06-2012 07:21 PM

:iagree: with you Ire on the rims the gun metal does look better IMO. My biggest dislike though in the '13s is the none painted fangs takes away from the aggressive look it originally had. I have been able to see one in town here and it just doesn't look quite right.

So, who wants practically new Berk HFC and Stillen Gen 3 intakes? I'm selling mine.

Cold air intake? Yes the stillen gen 3 intake is a CAI. Arguably the best intake for our cars.

yeh i just wanted to be sure. im on this facebook group but its mostly Gs and they go on and on about short rams which in my opinion is retarded. its cheaper, but its also useless ....

edit: i JUST got a $300 ticket for accidentally running a red light at the T intersection in bumper to bumper traffic cuz there was a TTC bus ahead of me and being low and close (and construction all round), i couldn't see the light till i was halfway into the intersection. didn't help that on both sides of me were trucks. Cop was right behind me. Oh well i guess no Berks for me :( FFUUUUUUU

Oh man... sorry to hear about the ticket..!!

$300...?? is that a normal fine for red-light?? Take it to the court at least you will have it deduct half...

As for the CAI, short ram is good too, I am using K&N, I do feel the differences 3500rpm and up....

Ouch! That's sucks bad. I hate spending money on tickets :shakes head:

GaleForce 10-07-2012 02:32 PM

The biggest down side to short rams is the heat picked up from the engine bay. Other than that they're ok.

alcheng 10-07-2012 02:37 PM

That's what the heat shields for, and it seals pretty good.

I don't like the CAI cause every time you have to take off the bumper and mod some parts... yes I am lazy... :bowrofl:

after installing my springs I vowed never to let laziness affect my choice for parts. I'm def going CAI over short ram w/ heat shield

also I dunno how normal $300 is for a ticket. we were stuck in the middle of the light when it turned on me so I had no choice but to move forward. the bus was stuck halfway in the intersection and I was driving my grandma home so I was distracted by blathering. funny thing is once I got pulled over she got out and walked home (it was less than a block from her place)

The difference on the power gain claimed from both brands are less than 4hp, I doubt there's any actual difference on both during actual driving...

I just don't like taking the bumper off when I have to clean the filter, and the short ram just working fine sound&performance wise, so I am happy with the short-ram.

But of course it is really a personal preference...

Regarding the red-light ticket, are you sure you were at the middle of the intersection during the light change??? If so, they can't give you a ticket because of that...

It's kinda funny that you got :owned: by your Grandma. I would get her to pay for half of your ticket. :bowrofl:

Still really sucks about getting a ticket for that though. :shakes head:

Yeah, I guess 4hp doesn't mean much when you drive a Prius. :bowrofl:

ShinyBlueZ 10-07-2012 05:20 PM

damn dude sorry to hear about the ticket.

did you get demerit points from it? what is it.. like 3 for a red light? not sure if running and rolling through one is the same thing though.

if so, for sure you gotta ex-copper and get rid of that crap. it'll cost you like double the $300 prolly, but the hit to your insurance will be worse :(

no dude, consider Prius has 4hp, add another 4hp is a 100% gain!!!! :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

But no matter they have 4hp or 8hp, they will still try to race you.... :bowrofl:

yo mitko can i grab the footage of our run back to tdot from the cruise? i can meet you somewhere and throw you a USB or you can be awesome and upload it somewhere ;)
i wanna edit all our footage together (blocking out license plates just in case hehe) so raw footage is preferable

btune 10-08-2012 02:04 AM

Ire, seems like your z has been causing you a lot of emotional termoil these days :S

Galeforce, I'm interested in the berk hfc's if ire is passing this one up

Sounds good. I'll be pulling them off the car at the end of October. I only drive the car once a week, if that. So they won't see too much more use. I'll take pics of them once they're off.

umm i would upload it except its 1.2GB file. you dont have to worry about the licence plates we were driving away form the sunset for the most part so all you see is white reflections off the license plates. I can convert it to some reduced quality file and upload it to youtube if you want to watch it? its nothing special really. my GO PRo doesn't get a great view plus theres alot of traffic so you berelly see the Zs, its usually just ben driving ahead of me, and the occasional white convertible in the lane next to me

So enlighten me. Why do people worry about license plates? I see so many people who blank them out in pictures and I never really understood why. The only reason I could even remotely contemplate is that people will "run" your plate and find out where you live. But unless you work for the Ministry, or you're a Cop, how the heck could you ever do that?

MrSir 10-09-2012 08:58 AM

its mostly for reporting reasons. Someone can see the image/video the person posted and if its say you doing stuff not exactly in the limits of the law, they can report you, in which case you can either get a letter from the ministry which is just a slap on the hand or you can actually get a ticket for it. I've read cases where some kid was boosting about how he was doing 120km/h in a 40km/h residential area on some forum, and just based on that and no other evidence he got his licence suspended and had to pay a substantial fine.

So to really answer your question ppl cover them up for safety reasons not cuz you are doing something bad in the image/video you are posting but just so that tards dont get the opportunity to create head aches for you. Me personally i really dont care so i just post my pictures with my license plate uncovered.

Ire 10-09-2012 10:12 AM

yep same usually i dont cover my plates, i mainly said it as a courtesy to everyone else in case they want it covered.

edit: the weathers getting colder but im totally not ready to put my car away for winter. i remember the road noise issue with our cars now that theres leaves and stuff all over the roads. half the time im like O_o
who's going to erfefaaaaa???

Ire 10-13-2012 04:19 PM

yo I'm going to import expo today. just passed Sam too

GaleForce 10-13-2012 04:24 PM

Have a good time. Hopefully it's a good turn out. It's bloody cold outside today.

alcheng 10-13-2012 05:08 PM

I thought the Thur Ertefa meet has more car than Import Expo..... no??

:bowrofl: :bowrofl:

Ire 10-13-2012 09:09 PM

oh man import expo was a total shitfest. terrible cars, it rained, it wasn't free. only plus side was there were tons of booty short clad girls, but even that got old after the first 15-20 asses. was nice catching up with old friends tho.

but just saying, be glad you didnt go.

LMBmikeZ 10-13-2012 09:44 PM
