Alex.. go to the October 14th thing so we can chill there at least haha I'm determined to meet at least 1 person from the forum before the end of the year :icon17: related note.. watch out for the H1N1 while cruising tomorrow, guys :eekdance: |

|
He wants to make the video as short as possible... thus he drove 3 times faster than usual.... :bowrofl:
|
I c lol
|
Looked like he was driving on crack :driving:
|
Hi guys, this is Mike. Thank you Alex for invited me to today's cruise. I really enjoyed it and met some nice people.
|
Hi 5 It was nice meeting you today also. :driving:
|
hahah the video is compressed to 13min. the full length was 1 hour 15 min. so its quite sped up. Im in the process of transfering over the footage from today. the go pro stuff from the cruise is not so exciting but the drive home on hwy is what i would probably post soon. It was pretty fun the four of us were just weaving through traffic.
Either way it was very fun today thanks to all who came out. Thank you for not doing anything absurdly dumb to attract more attention to our 10 sports car convoy. For now i think this will remain our route for atleast once a year meet/cruise i'll try to find other similar exciting roads for next season. There are some in muskoka that i tried a couple of weeks back that i think would be nice for use but thats like 2.5-3 hour drive just to get to the starting point. So i dont know how many of you would be up for something like that. There are some more scenic roads in the hamilton-niagara falls area which i think we should check out as well. Also Ben/John you guys should start on the track day idea research from now see how plausible/affordable it can be and lets do this thing. I still think we should look into alternatives like renting a big parking lot somewhere and setting up an autocross track with pylons. Might be a more feasible option. For next season we should also try to secure more passenger/photographer individuals to get more perminent coverage rather than just awsome memories of the events. Either way great turn out, great people, great fun. For those of you who took pictures post them up. i'll post mine this week. |
Mr I think the vid of the corkscrew section would be nice to see. I think that section for about another minute after would probably be the best section to post. And ofcourse any with my car in it LOL.
|
everyone bring thier gf's and teach them how to get rolling shots :P also yes, that run back on the way home was ******* fun. i didnt know you had your camera running else i would have passed you more ;) Ben and I did the same thing back from the other cruise and gotta say, it was just another highpoint to the cruise. Everyone post your pics up asap! i'll look into the track thing, def wanna get one in before the weather turns too bad.
Ben : thoughts on when for the downtown shoot? thanks to everyone who came out, was a blast! Oh and also : |
I'd definatelly be up for a track rental at the track closest to me but next year. If we can get the price at $250 or less each would be worth it.
|
Track day is a possible next season, but we will have to make sure all our Z is track ready, maybe mid-summer is the time frame.
Regarding the route, so far the one today is nice. We can figure out another route for other meet. We have a whole Winter season to find out. I will edit the pictures I took today and post it up ASAP. Also, for those who has took photos today, can I collect the pictures also... I want to see if we have enough pictures to make a video. |
dunno if you guys can see this but Brad uploaded a short clip of todays run
|
had a great time fellas, now... UPLOAD PICS lmao

Found these pics on my camara. Where did they come from?

good cruise boys...drive back home was hella fun!!
judging based on how aggressively some of you liked to take those turns...i think track day seems appropriate...i'll get the wheels spinning on this idea...already have a few ideas on mind... weather's getting pretty nasty this week...so dowtown photoshoot maybe next week? we'll play it by ear... |
Wasn't planning to track my Z when I first got it...
BBK is on my mod-list regardless I track or not... But to put on the oil-cooler just for the track... which only happens maybe once/twice a year.... to be... or not to be...... |
it's not like the oil cooler is expensive or has downsides in non track use
|
2013 z
thank you everyone that was there to make my first z cruise unforgettable :)
I had the best day ever Hopefully we do it again !!! |
this is why i got the 19row, it keeps my engine oil cool enough during everyday driving and even abit more spirited cruises like this sunday. On the track i would estimate it would last maybe around 7-8 laps before having to pull over for it to cooldown. It is a smaller oil cooler but it still allows for atleast double theo track time compared to the stock 3-4 laps before your car just refuses to go anymore. Personally i think its good to have it, saw it as a flaw in the car that needed fixing. I mean 220 F (105 C) normal oil temperature on a hot summer day is a bit too hot i would say. Now it stays at 180F (82 C) so its much much better. Better for the engine, prolongs the life of the oil as well. Keeping the engine cooler through oil cooling i would imagine improves performance/millage as well over the long term. Dont quote me on that one though, thats just an assumption.

Hey guys,
I am wondering how many of you are thinking about getting the oil-cooler and BBK, I am asking the shop that I got the rims from to give me a price, and I wanna see how many of us are getting so I can ask them for a better price. So far they give me very good price for the items I look for compare to getting from US. Regarding the oil-cooler, any brand you guys prefer? 19 or 25 rolls?? As for BBK, I got price from them for both Wilwood and StopTech last week, they can also order Brembo and AP Racing. Let me know if you guys are interested thus I can give them a quantity and ask for a group discount. -alcheng |
no...??
