That will show me not to say: "Honey, no problem it won't snow a lot, I'll have plenty of time to store the car later this week"...

Y'a sure... :shakes head:

Same LOL

IDZRVIT 12-08-2010 07:04 AM

Hmmmm, sitting here in Halifax without a peck of snow.............for now! I think mainland Nova Scotia is one of the few places left in the GWN that hasn't had any significant snowfall yet. Hey, lucky it wasn't hail. Sing along - "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.........."

Pharmacist 12-08-2010 08:03 AM

Well my car wont be garaged. The winter wheels and tires are on and i'm ready to conquer the canadian winter

Jeffblue 12-08-2010 08:21 AM

wow

nogoodname 12-08-2010 09:17 AM

They called for 4cm of snow and 32cm fell + windy as hell.....LOL.

I left my G outside and I dunno how it's barely covered in snow... kinda weird.

"Early?" My 370 has been parked since October 15th. We've had around a foot of snow since the third week of October here.

wheee! 12-08-2010 07:32 PM

No problem! Just pay some 12 year old with a rusty metal shovel to dig your car out for you! I am sure he will do a "bang-up" job!!.....

LMBmikeZ 12-08-2010 08:50 PM

actually thinking about it, this is no laughing matter....... you will need to be extra careful not to scratch it while digging it out!

BE CAREFUL though!

wheee! 12-08-2010 08:52 PM

I am thinking a heat gun and a wet vac....

cptspeed 12-08-2010 08:54 PM

Well if it’s any consolation when I left work on Monday night in the Montreal storm, I still had summer tires on it. I didn’t even know they still made SUMMER tires! I assumed it at least had 4 season tires. My appointment to have the winter tires put on was in 2 days. I made it about 20 feet and had to pull over. It refused to move! The nice man from CAA dropped it off at a Goodyear dealership. Those guys had to push it in the garage to put the winter tires on it because it wouldn’t budge!!

Moral of the story …. From now on, my puppy is going to have winter tires on it from October to June!!

No problem with the winter tires on however. Not only am I going to enjoy driving it in winter but I am also going to REALLY enjoy the look on people’s face when they see this car out in a Montreal winter!

LOL. Don't worry us "southerner's" will be getting snow soon enough. We would have got snow out of that storm but it stayed North, as it was VT/NH got some of it.

I hear ya. We had a hefty snow and ice last year shortly after I bought my car. I LITERALLY got depressed because I thought my RWD snow skills had completely left me, thinking, "Crap. Why did I buy this car?". Snow tires restored my happy. :happydance:

nogoodname 12-12-2010 05:02 PM

Did a stand still burnout today lol.

LMBmikeZ 12-12-2010 09:38 PM

at least you did something.... southwestern ontario is under a snow storm (where I live at least) and I have yet to go outside or do anything yet its just snowing every time I look outside....:shakes head::shakes head:

now in the background I hear the nag!!! have you even shoveled yet???? rrrraaa rrrraaa rrrraaa :gtfo2:and shovel! lol I guess I need to go brave the elements! :wtf2:

nogoodname 12-14-2010 08:41 PM

Well... A clear day turned into a snow storm and then followed by rain. Today I couldn't even open my doors. The glass was frozen onto the rubber seal and the window wouldn't roll down. Took me awhile to get the door open...ugh!

LMBmikeZ 12-14-2010 09:57 PM

NASTY! I hate the way the doors are sealed!

I am so happy my beater (97 pathfinder) has solid frames all the way around the window! much less likely to freeze shut and not get open. It has been a crazy winter so bad here in Ontario one of our local ski resort was actually closed due to poor weather/too much snow! only the second time since it has opened!

Snow closes ski resort
