Default 370z Roadster Dirt Cheap!!

The sales guy at Maple Nissan called me today and asked me to trade my 2009 370z coupe to a brand new 2010 370z roaster.

The sales has a few 2010 370z roadster with Sport Package for $41898 + tax = $47344.74 OTD. I think it's dirt cheap!

He didn't mention how much for my current car. He said he needs to take a look at it before he can come up with a price.

My car has 8000km. All stock.

Will head to the dealership later this week. How much do you think my car is worth for the trade? If I can get 35K for my car, I will seriously consider.

Any thoughts?

Hmmmm... his motives(?).

IMHO, a roadster is only useful a few (good) months a year. Even if you park your coupe, you still have more "quality" drive time in a coupe over a rag-top. Choose the coupe. Besides, he'll never give you what you want for a trade-in. (That's probably how he quoted you this "deal".... he needs the profit from your trade-in to make it work.) But he'll NEVER give you 35K for yours.

Typical sales ploy. He's just trying to sell you a car. I'm betting the trade-in would be pretty weak.

Unless you are dying for a roadster, or only drive the 370Z in the summer anyway, I wouldn't think it is a great choice for Toronto.

I wouldn't get one here, and it mostly rains.

Agree, it's not the best car in Toronto (thanks to winter season).

Only if I didn't have a 370z to start with...

That's quite a deal.

He would if he had someone waiting to pay $37k for a clean used one. When dealers come after your car, it's usually because they have a buyer waiting.

IIRC there's a $10,000 cash incentive on the Z roadster right now.

Yep, there is. I called my dealer. If anyone buys a 2010 Roadster you get $5K off. If you also happen to own a Z, hence the phone call YamahaR6 received, or any other car maker's ragtop that is 2000 or newer, you get another $5K off for a total of $10K!!! My other half is very interested. We only drive the car on nice days anyway so a ragtop is just fine with us. My dealer is the only one in this neck of the woods that has one - MB on the lot. I'd rather the black cherry or red.
