Anyone with the Anniversary edition in Canada?

Just wondering if anyone's ordered one, or is planning...

FricFrac 02-02-2010 09:12 PM

Is it even available in Canada?

mumbalee 02-03-2010 08:22 AM

Well my dealer is telling me I can order because he says it's on his spec sheet... but I'm kind of doubting him because it's not on the Nissan canada website. That's why I was wondering if anyone else had.

Jjaden 02-03-2010 01:19 PM

Good question, I was actually considering swinging by a dealer and seeing if they would let me trade in my 09 and cash for an anniversary.

The red interior is too sexy to pass up, but not worth doing if I have to go down south for the car.

mumbalee 02-03-2010 06:58 PM

Let me know what they say. I'm really curious whether my sales rep knows what's up, or is just leading me on so i'll put a deposit down.

FricFrac 02-03-2010 08:51 PM

Car sales men say lots of things....

Ztoon 02-03-2010 10:14 PM

My dealership tells me one will be arriving here in Kamloops this April. One of 50 allotted to Canada......or so he says.

Did your salesman quote a price? Mine says he couldn't see that it was any more than a regular 6-speed with Sport pkg, but I kind of doubt that. Like I said, he doesn't sound too sure of things...

Drexster 02-03-2010 10:27 PM

Yeah they sure say lots of things...

I have a deposit on one in North Vancouver. They don't know the price, or availability date yet. I've been going in almost every sunday to push them for more information and nothing.

Every dealer seems to tell me they will be allotted a numbers of cars based on dealership performance, and there's a waiting list similar to the GT-Rs.

One sales manager even called me last week and said availability would be April/May and wanted to verify that I was ok with the Canary Yellow colour option... WTF?

I told him to call his source and be 100% sure otherwise i was pulling out. Never heard back from him lol

mumbalee 02-05-2010 06:25 PM

Well I bit the bullet... put down my deposit on an Anniversary edition. Unlike the US version, it comes decked out with Navi (as well as Sport which US also comes). I saw the Canadian spec sheet myself, which just arrived at the dealer today, so it looks legit.

I'm a soooooo stoked!

PS Anyone know of a buyer for a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT Convertible - loaded & 6 speed, 2-tone leather/suede copper interior?

Drexster 02-06-2010 05:43 PM

That's awesome man! Congrats.

Any word on pricing and availability?

I'm hoping my dealer calls today with these details you speak of...

mumbalee 02-07-2010 10:19 AM

He said they're only in production January & February and then that's it, and that it should be arriving April/May. Fingers crossed!!
List pricing is basically $1500 over a Sport & Navi pkg, so it's pretty much like in the US (only they don't get Navi); a small premium in my mind, especially since it looks like there will apparently only be 50 in Canada (and the red leather makes me totally crazy about it!!)
The other surprise I saw on the spec sheet, was the option to have the Anniversary in Automatic - which I don't believe is offered in the US version either (not that I'd ever consider it. Just noted.)

FricFrac 02-07-2010 11:40 PM

... I'd be willing to bet there are 50 or less yellow 370Z's in Canada as well.....

Drexster 02-08-2010 03:15 AM

Yeah i don't understand why the 40th would come without Nav in the U.S., makes no sense to me why you would buy the car without it. Especially with a 40th anniversary edition.

Anyway, i did place a deposit awhile ago but i'm waiting to get final word on availability and pricing before getting too excited. If they've quoted me a price on a loaded 2010 model, do you figure i should just add 1500$ to that?

mumbalee 02-08-2010 08:05 AM

Ya that's what it looks like.

Drexster 02-08-2010 06:54 PM

Heard back from my dealer today. No go on negotiated price plus 1500$. He tried to get me to pay MSRP. So I called up another dealership, told them I'd give a deposit today if I could buy the car for "x amount", they jumped on it right away. Plus, they said there's a good chance it would come in late march or early april!

I'm stoked for that interior!

What Dealer?

Drexster 02-09-2010 02:07 PM

Regency in north Vancouver was the original dealership. Pan Pacific in Surrey is the second dealership.

mmmmm 03-05-2010 08:12 PM

Nissan 2010 40th anniversary edition

Yes, I order mine in Oct and it is to arrive after March. Limited amounts in Canada, I think 88 cars in total. I happen to know somone a dealer that was able to place the order. My car was build on Jan. 11 2010, should be on its way for April.

Hi, I'm new here everyone I have been looking at this Forum for a while now. I'm interested to buy the 370z (40th anniversary edition) I went to the dealer yesterday and got an official form from the sales person which shows the cost of 48,498 for 6sMT and its fully loaded, I checked the pricing on a regular 370z Turing fully loaded and its exact same price I wonder if there is any mistake here. what do you guys think or have heard?

thanks again, by the way I live in Ontario

I think that's the quoted price you'll get anywhere. I'm not sure what the price margin is on these cars, but I've been told the 40th anniversary edition should be for sale for 1500$ more then the Sport+Nav Coupe.

Regardless, if the sales person told you 48, it's fair to assume you can negotiate a lower price.

I bought my 40th anniv 2 weeks ago. ( US VERSION ) I'll sell it for $38900 - it has 221 miles.

I don't think the US version has NAV does it?
I'd be interested otherwise, however vehicle import taxes and safety/air inspection procedures add up to quite a bit from my understanding!

xbigb4ller69z 03-12-2010 07:17 AM

No nav

370ZGhost 03-12-2010 02:07 PM

Nav is available in the US VERSION, just not seen in many models....rare.....the car itself is rare...only 1000 units worldwide.

kevin.z 03-13-2010 12:22 AM

Drexster: dealer said 40th Anni with chicane yellow? ROFL,

hah! yeah.
That dealer was an idiot. There definetly isn't a chicane yellow 40th.
I do have a standard 40th on the way. No delivery date yet though. Sometime this month I hope!

As for a meet, i'd definetly be up for that. Got a few roads planned out already.

takayuki 03-16-2010 10:49 PM

there's a 40th anniversary 370z here in edmonton at westend nissan right now..... god.. its so tempting.. such a nice car!

djpathfinder 03-16-2010 10:55 PM

I saw one today too. Really nice! $48,498. That one has the Nav package. Not sure if it's optional or not. No info on Nissan Canada's website. According to Nissan USA, the nav pkg is an option.

zzz666 03-18-2010 01:02 PM

I was at the Willowdale Nissan in Thornhill to testdrive the 370Z and they have a 40th Anniversary 370Z (carbon silver i believe) parked at their back lot. I was more interested in getting a deal on the roadster so did not ask about this car.

djpathfinder 03-18-2010 11:13 PM

I bit the bullet...I bought a 40th Anniv. tonite at Sherwood Nissan. I take deliver tomorrow. So excited! Can't wait to get it. They got a second one in today, but it's an automatic! I didn't think they were making them in auto.

It's based on the allocation, and when the order was placed.

djpathfinder 03-19-2010 02:14 PM

Wheee, the manual one at Sherwood is mine. I'm picking it up in a few hours.
