Canadian Z owners **Poll** Who stores their Z over the winter?

So fellow Canadian Z owners I am wondering what percentage of owners store their Z over the winter? So I am starting this poll

I drive it all year around. Though if there's any sign of snow it's good old public transit for me haha.

This is the first car I have ever stored and my first winter owning it. This is going to be a long winter.

I have a 2014 mazda3 for the winter.

90 ST 01-24-2015 12:15 PM

I rock that sh1t all year long!
<<< that gets parked for the winter.

jza70turbo 01-24-2015 12:18 PM

Stored for the winter, and gets alternated between my Toyota Supra for the summer.

My daily is a 2007 Nissan Maxima

15NISMO 01-24-2015 12:44 PM

2013 Kia Optima SX

Siiick, do you have a pic of the Supra?

I drive my 2000 Honda Accord V6 coupe for the winter

acky 01-24-2015 05:26 PM

Z goes in storage in mid-November and awakes in mid-March. Same deal as when I owned my 2008 C6.

Winter driver is a 2014 Ram 1500.

It's just a JZ swapped MK3. It's heavy, loud and old but I love it. :)

Z stored from late November to late March. We don't get much snow on the west coast, but I like to keep the road salt off it. Jeep Rubicon for the winter (and driving to work all year).

edconline 01-25-2015 01:43 AM

Parked for the looooooong Edmonton winters.
Copying Mr. Galeforce this year with his winter vehicle, actually would have it already if Nissan would sort their APR out!

clkio 01-25-2015 07:21 AM

Over the winter, I take it out on nice sunny days to get the car moving a little. Other than that, its parked.

mishuko 01-25-2015 09:46 AM

parked... I did sneak it out in December when it was 12* outside... that was nice. especially the fact that it would have been a 40buck fill in the summer was just shy of 30 :)

djyu 01-25-2015 11:46 AM

I've only taken out the Z on sunny and nice days without snow. Lately Toronto hasn't had much snow soo its been nice!

Besides that I'm driving a Nissan Micra this winter if I don't drive the Z.

Tran905 01-25-2015 11:48 AM

Gas is 83 cents right now...I gotta get the Z out and fill her up!

On topic. I'm Canadian and I drive my Z year round

JF450 01-25-2015 08:21 PM

It got winter tires on. I drive it a couple times every week. I don't need to drive to work so buying a second car just to leave it parked everyday is kinda pointless for me.

Gurps 01-25-2015 09:58 PM

I drive mine all year round as I live in Vancouver and we barely even know what winter is here. Hit plus 14 Celsius today perfect day for a drive. Had my car for three years and driven all year on summer tires. The odd time the weather does turn bad I park it and take transit. Over the last three years I only had to do this once. They rarely salt roads here and when they do the rain just washes it all way. I was my car every month in the front yard as we always get few warm days every month so Easy to keep clean all year.

Hey what ever works for you :tiphat: you guys have it better in GTA then me out my way. I am more SW in SW Ontario. I live in one of the "snow belts" so there is no shortage of white stuff. However this year has been one of the lightest ones I can remember. I won't complain about that though :icon17:

All year round...

I only drive mine once or twice a week in the winter to go get groceries as I walk to and from work. As some one already pointed out - it seems kind of senseless to own a winter beater that is going to sit all winter long.

I did put snow tires on it, though.

That's actually a nice car for daily. You get 1000 km per tank of gas too?!
