Eibach Pro Plus Kit

Just received my Uncle Sam money and now looking to upgrade some of my suspension components.

I tried searching, but could not come up with anything substantial on this kit.

Does anyone have this kit? Interested to know what your thoughts are.

I am also looking at purchasing separate components as well, Swift Springs and Hotchkis Sways.

I am interested in the Eibach kit as I really do not want to slam my ride. I already bottom out at many places with the stock height, but looking to close the fender gap for a better look and possible better performance.

It looks like your on the right choice of springs for your needs.

I had complied a list of comparisons between most of the popular springs so members could be able to compare and to better choose whats right for them.

I did use these springs for a short while and was very happy with the results.

I moved up to semi full coil overs since then.

Thanks. The list is very helpful. I know see the Eibach's have the least amount of drop which I believe will exactly be what I am after.

One quick question, after install is a 4 Wheel Alignment necessary. If so, how many miles or how long should I wait before getting the alignment?

I would wait at least a week for them to settle in.

The alignment is only recommended at that drop though some like myself opted to having the front & rear camber kits installed as well as springs in one shot and then getting it aligned so your done in one shot.

The front & rears camber kits let you get the alignment close to stock in the event you decide to drop it even lower, Mind you an alignment would be required if you drop further from the Eibachs.

This is NOT to say you just can't drop it skip alignment and be on your way?

The price to that maybe the added wear to the inside tire at which tires aren't cheap even for a pair.

Will the same apply if using the Eibach springs and 15/20mm wheel spacers? Alignment only with camber kit option?

I have the Eibach springs and sways. I love them. Dropped about 1 inch. The sways made the biggest difference in feel. Corners very flat!

You will like it!

You will need rear camber arms. I bought SPC but you really ought to get SPL camber arms. I will be upgrading to those shortly.

I needed front and rear camber arms when I installed my Eibachs. I was just barely out, but tires are expensive.

Guys - I just installed my eibach pro kit plus springs and sways with front and rear eibach camber kit and full alignment on my '13 sport. Done at a very well known Z shop with tonnes of experience. Car handles awesome now but I notice a "creek" in the front when Hitting bumps. Sounds like when you take a step onto an old wooden floor and it creeks. Rear does the same but not nearly as much. Should I be worried ?

Any of you Eibach pro-kit folks able to install these springs yourself?

Ive been wrenching on various cars for 15 years, GM, Hondas, Subaru, Jeeps, etc and I've never not been able to use a low profile set of spring compressors to put a spring on a shock/strut.

I gave up last night, after fully compressing the compressors while they were grabbing 3 rows of coils on the springs.

They will be going to a shop today to be installed using a press.

I was a bit surprised to only have seen that mentioned 1 thread about the Pro-Kit (after the fact), that you either have to try to "rig" the installation, but installing the top hat to the top of the shock tower first (no thanks), then guiding the bottom of it through - or you do it the right way and have the springs pressed in and assembled.

I took it to a shop. Ten minutes and $50 later I was back home re-installing them

No. They don't work. I already have a very similar pair. The Eibach pro-kit springs are too closely wound at the top to insert the compressors to short the spring.

Where you can actually get a bite on the coils, it doesn't grab and compress them enough to be able to put the top hat back on.

oh i c... i suppose take the struts and springs to a local midas or something and have them assemble it then.

make sure the top hat's orientation is correct though.

Yeah that's plan B. Would have been helpful to know this in advance.

So many of the threads on this forum lack these important details lol

well, if you've read the forum correctly, people run the better Swift springs. lol
