AMS vs Kinetix Camber Arms?

So I did some searching, didn't find anyone actually running these arms, they look exactly like Kinetix yet their entire front and rear arm package is selling for nearly as

Default AMS vs Kinetix Camber Arms?

So I did some searching, didn't find anyone actually running these arms, they look exactly like Kinetix yet their entire front and rear arm package is selling for nearly as much as just the Kinetix front camber arms alone. Anyone have any experience with these??

Also for the Kinetix rear camber arms, for the few out there running them (or used to) on the track how are they holding up for you? I'm debating between Kinetix or SPL rear camber arms.

SPL is by far, the best quality arms you can get for our car, second only to race team arms. Kinetix arms are regarded as lower quality arms, but some people run them and they seem fine.

A good balance, personally speaking, is the SPC arms, front and rear. I run the whole set all the way around, and besides a bushing change from hard usage, it works great. However, all of these arms can slip under high load, unless you get the SPL stuff. This is not an issue unless you track the car.

Actually the Kinetix front arms don't slip, just the SPCs do. I would get SPL fronts but my car is my daily/track car so I wouldn't be able to use all the camber SPL would allow to use anyways.

I know SPL rears would be solid but its also fairly pricey. I ruled out SPCs here again since two members have snapped them so far. The AMS looks like Kinetix but I'm curious if its of the same quality...

I'm also interested in hearing some feedbacks from anyone who have used the AMS since I have a set of their rear camber arms sitting in my garage for when I decide to lower my car.

Holy ****! For $180 ill bite.




I don't see why people say its poor quality. Its a big piece of steel that's tig welded. I don't think you can make it any prettier or more ugly unless you mig welded it. The bushings in the rear could be better I bet but for the street I'm sure they're fine. I'm sure you could source spherical bearings that fit if you wanted.

GTkiller sold these off of another members track car that he said where custom made and everyone praised them. To me it looks like a AMS or Kinetix arm with spherical bearings installed and painted green.

Point is they work! And I never seen a break. If you grind the lock nut down and grind the arm down where the ball joint screws into the camber arm you can get -3 camber on the front.

I take back I never seen a break. Here's a pic from AMS (so who knows) of a broken kinetix ball joint. But this could happen to anyone that uses these I'd guess.

Seeing the page title in the link there, thats clintfocus! I came across that post on motoiq yesterday while looking up Kinetix. Interesting find on the spherical there, and that failed ball joint well..kinda funny since its AMS that posted it.

Yeah I know . Both ball joints look the same anyways. Only the ones I posted look better. For $180 I'd buy the ams, take the measurements and buy the heavy duty ones. And if the arms aren't stiff, ill weld in some tube on the bends to reenforce them.

Wow forget the $180 for AMS. They want $45 in shipping and 3.5% for paypal. I just shipped my spare tire that weighs 35lbs to Texas from Ohio for only $28.50! They also told me they've sold THOUSANDS! Funny not one member here has them.

that was the gen1 build. The newer ones have a little bit different race for the ball joint. I have had mine of my car for almost 40k. The only issue was the ball joint was a little on the dry side and required me to lube 2x's in the past 2 summers. Other than that...FLAWLESS. Also handles a lot better in high speed corners than stock.

O thank you. Good to know. Does yours look the same as ams? I still might do the better ones I found that say heavy duty and maintance free. You can see the one GTkiller sold were better as they are machined unlike the ams which is cast.

Check my mods folder. They are slightly different. I would have gone mad had I known about them then only for the simple reason of no maintenance.
