Bad Front end traction

I've had this problem for a while now where I feel whenever I drive the car it feels like the front wheels are floating or like they're on ice. To be honest my tires aren't in the greatest of shape but it hasn't felt right in a while. My guess is that the alignment is off? From what I see the wheels a toed out a little and the camber almost looks positive also. The tire wear is also not normal I have wear on the inside and out side but I have a lot of tread in the middle which is why I think it is my alignment, I could be wrong this is why I'm asking you guys before I go ahead and do anything. It's also way worse when the road is wet which I feel like that's just the tires.

Also in the read my tires only wear on the inside could my alignment be that off?

Don't you realize that your tires have VERY LOW air pressure???

What is your front tire pressure? Maybe you have a broken air guage.

andre12031948 11-01-2013 06:18 PM

This is a fact

When you have very low pressure the center of tire thread caves in & you're driving on the outside threads. When you have too much air, the center threads blow out & you would be driving on the center threads. Einstein proved it! E=mc2 !!!!

I'm going to check now also the tire light isn't on so they can't be that low they don't even look it

andre12031948 11-01-2013 06:26 PM

when you have only an inch of each side of the tire

making contact with road, the car will feel like chit. That's from Isaac Newton's laws of motion :icon14:

Nuccigucci 11-01-2013 06:29 PM

I understand that but I check my tires periodically and always make sure they're okay like I said before the light never came on

You did say that it's wearing out on the outside.

Nuccigucci 11-01-2013 06:47 PM

Okay just checked all four corners they were all at 40psi after driving for 15 mins I did find that my drivers side front tire is actually on backwards the other three are on correctly I still don't think that that's what's throwing everything off

andre12031948 11-01-2013 06:51 PM

all joking aside

There's something wrong somewhere. With 40 psi you should be riding/wearing out the CENTER of tires. 30 to 34 psi is normal for most cars/tires.

burn a strip of rubber

burn some rubber. I'm curious how the rubber strip looks like.

With my tires I get the fullest/biggest rubber strip with apx. 26-28 psi

What wheels do you have???

How would the front tires leave rubber on the ground? It seems like the alignment is way off.
