Mike@Blackline 07-29-2009 10:02 PM

its been all good reviews thus far, i know they're doing other stuff too outside of BBKs, but those are their flagship item. i have a set on order for my 350Z, in the blue color seen in that link. pumped.
edit: 14" 8 piston fronts, 14" 6 piston rears with color matched hats is my order, and i'm lined up for a prototype of their reclining racing seats , YAYS

I left a message with on the thread... I hope to get these first :D

Mike@Blackline 07-30-2009 09:37 PM

ill post some seat pics in a sec. there are already two highly interested guys!

Mike@Blackline 07-30-2009 09:50 PM

You can see the logo is slightly offline. This prototype is meant to test the design, function, and performance of the seat. Minor issues like the logo will obviously be addressed.

This proto is black leather, black suede inserts. Over 20 colors of leather will be available, with 3 suede options. Can be all leather, and all cloth is of course an option also.
Shells available in FRP, Carbon Fiber, and Kevlar.

The decision has been made that the production models will have their inserts, be they suede, leather, or cloth stiched in, not removable as pictured.

As apart of the deal for being their sole online vendor, Blackline Motorsports is responsible for their website. i know they've started it, but arent going to publish the page until its complete obviously, so its en route.
alliance's page is Alliance Automotive Products

Togo 07-31-2009 02:23 PM

That BBK looks good!

Mike@Blackline 07-31-2009 03:25 PM

talked with a 370 owner today. he's in, payment ready. he's doing a payment plan, which is available to everyone, no interest or any BS like that, its just available to encourage sales since most people dont have the cost of a BBK sitting around. one more Z needed! id be the other guy if i owned a 370! contact Mike@Blackline on my350z or the sales email for BLMS, sales@blacklinems.com

bullitt5897 07-31-2009 04:08 PM

Look forward to it Mike... it was a pleasure speaking with you today :D

CBRich 07-31-2009 10:09 PM

I don't know about the performance but they look damn good.

they are definitely amazing looking (in my opinion the best looking BBK on the Z/G market), but they have the performance to back it up!

From G35 driver, one of Alliance's sponsored rides:
"I will say that even with still having the stock rear brakes I can feel a major difference with these. It seems like it takes very little effort to stop the car now and I bet I can lock these up without even trying. They just grab that good."
He has since installed the full 8 front 6 piston rear setup, and has all good things to say

From a 350 with the 15/14 8/6 setup, just a portion of his review:
"Performance: They work excellant, stopping on the Dime, not a sound or squeak, no brake dust (what?) yeah....no brake dust. I wipe my wheels and nothing.

Off the shelf: Would I buy them...for the price, quality and choice of Hats, color, calipers...HELL YEAH! in a heartbeat. The price is set too low. Honestly, you need to ask for more."

Great reviews!

Do you happen to know how easy or difficult it is to swap the pads on these?

Mike@Blackline 08-01-2009 02:38 PM

changing pads is quite easy, two bolts, thats it! not sure what other brands can be used in terms of pads, ill have to ask Alliance. but changing pads is definitely easier than stock pads, or at least it seemed that way when i changed my front pads

Shunya 08-01-2009 03:55 PM

they look nice

bullitt5897 08-04-2009 12:17 PM

come on people I need someone to jump in on this so I can get my new brakes!

Shunya 08-04-2009 12:46 PM

bullitt5897 08-04-2009 04:21 PM

LoL! never! go Endless~!

rreign 08-05-2009 12:11 PM

The kit looks good. I'd go with shunya on this and go Endless. IMHO though, I wouldn't go with a full BBK unless you are doing some serious HP upgrades.

Shunya 08-05-2009 02:10 PM

^or going for a show :P

RCZ 08-06-2009 02:26 PM

mmm no one with racing aspirations buys 8-pot calipers. Anything bigger than 6pot is for show. They don't perform any better and you are stuck buying ridiculously expensive pads that aren't even made for racing applications.

These Alliance ones look purty for sure.

bullitt5897 08-10-2009 08:18 PM

anyone else going to get in on these? I know the fronts are cheaper than Brembo Caliper Upgrades!!!

I gotta agree with RCZ, he knows what he's talking about.

Snakebite202 08-16-2009 11:02 AM

I agree with him too - NASCAR, F1, Indy, Le Mans... 6 pot...

Shunya 08-16-2009 12:25 PM

My Type R also uses a micro 6.

Mike@Blackline 08-18-2009 08:29 PM

pretty sure a second guy is on board which means development and production would start asap!

Mike@Blackline 08-24-2009 01:14 AM

the production process has begun!!!

platyperz 08-24-2009 01:48 AM

I can't wait to see this BBK

Shunya 08-24-2009 07:13 AM

wooo can't wait for this :P

bullitt5897 08-24-2009 08:20 AM
