These Alliance ones look purty for sure.

I doubt this fact will deter anyone who's giving this kit any serious thought. They are just catering to the show/poser crowd who are looking for the cheapest way to have something pretty behind their wheels. The pictures of all those cars with these brakes installed speak volumes.

I could care less about how a BBK looked, although proper braking components look good by default. I've never even heard of this "company" before. I'll stick with a track-proven Brembo/StopTech/Alcon setup, thanks.

I was thinking the same, personally.

Nobody's questioning that, but like most others in here it seems, I agree the 8-pot BBK is overkill...

What did you go with?

bullitt5897 09-21-2009 10:46 AM

I went with the 8 pot 15" rotors and 6 pot 14" rotors... I am also going TT so for me it makes sense. Much larger pad surface area evenly distributed heat and etc... will help slow my soon to be sick fast car! Plus I am working to build mine into a cover car so I need the bling for the magazines.

MightyBobo 09-21-2009 11:12 AM

Well if ya got the dime, go for it :)

Mike@Blackline 01-31-2010 08:45 AM

Where is the cell phone pic? Or am I missing something?

ChrisSlicks 02-08-2010 01:59 PM

You have to sign in to my350z to see the pic, but it was a crappy cell phone pic so I wouldn't bother.

^^lol it's that attitude that causes all z33's to resent it, as if it's our fault that Nissan wanted to upgrade from the z33, then again I wonder how we'll feel with a z35 comes out. Though I doubt you'll care Lou, no Nissan future car is going to put down your kind of power.

bullitt5897 02-08-2010 03:12 PM

hey guys I am letting the pads get broken in before I do the full street review on these bad boys!!!! lets just say its neck snapping hard braking! Every time I hit the brakes I hear this song:
*NSFW Language*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WQprLGuo6U

These BRAKES FREAKING ROCK!!!
1-10
in short
Quality is a 10
Looks is a 10
Performance so far 12!!!

I never thought the car can stop so fast! :driving:

Just remember that #1 any car is limited by pads and by tires, those 2 alone control initial stopping distances. Upgrading the brake calipers and rotors is mainly to improve the performance in repeated braking, doesn't necessarily have an impact in initial braking other than that the pads supplied with the kit may be more aggressive.

FuszNissan 02-08-2010 04:25 PM

^^And suspension

That too. But for point of comparison I was assuming suspension was unchanged during the brake upgrade.

bullitt5897 02-08-2010 07:16 PM

I was refering to the whole kit as a package not just the calipers and rotors.

FuszNissan 02-09-2010 02:03 PM

Where are the pics at?

bullitt5897 02-09-2010 03:28 PM

I will be taking some soon with the DSLR once the weather clears up... its raining like cats and dogs and the car is bad dirty!!!

JB-370z 02-10-2010 07:49 AM

It looks like I will be the 2nd 370 with this brake kit. I will be doing custom powder-coated red on mine. Bullitt hope to see pics soon. This friday or next monday I will be starting the process, and a one month wait from there. Also my SSR wheels should be coming in around that same time. All I will need now is to pick out some tires to fit. Bullitt are you running S/S lines?

bullitt5897 02-10-2010 09:27 AM

yes I am bro.

JB-370z 02-10-2010 07:47 PM

One word............ SICK!

Josh@STILLEN 02-14-2010 11:22 PM

Those wheels with brakes look awesome.. very nice.

What's going on with the fronts and the non-contact stripe on the rotor face?

bullitt5897 02-14-2010 11:34 PM

I know the brakes need to be re-bled with a power bleeder. there is some air in the lines still and I will have FP take a look at that. I will also take a look at the pads and see if it has to do with the pad wear cause that just showed up in the past two days. BTW it is only on that one rotor the rest have full contact.

Josh@STILLEN 02-14-2010 11:36 PM

Cool.. you can check and see if debris has made its way into the pads.. it's possible to get a rock or something lodged in there..

bullitt5897 02-14-2010 11:45 PM

thats probably what it is seeing as I had to drive down some gravel roads the on saturday and it was hell!
