I've used the combination of Hawk Blues/RBF 600 on a couple of Porsches and they worked well. If you like to keep your wheels and paint looking good you need to apply a good coat of wax before your weekend and wash the brake dust off before it gets wet and sits. That stuff turns to concrete!

Carbotechs have worked well for me on my 370Z. I have XP10s in the front and XP8s in the rear. Great grip and no fade in 20 minute sessions at Barber... Can't use them on the street though; they make horrible noises.

I have run on Hawk HP+ which worked fine at Buttonwillow but not good for extended braking zones like at Big Willow. Those pads would be ok on a stock 370Z with stock or street tires. As you get faster, speeds get higher, tires get stickier, etc. they won't be very good which is why I am making the switch to Carbotech. I also like that Carboetch has a bunch of compound options so I have room to get more or less agressive if I need to. As far as the rest of the braking system, I have had no troubles. Rotors have been fine. I did put RBF600 in before I ever took the car on track though. Stock fluid always sucks. Also installing some Challenge stainless lines soon. |
hmm.... i checked the carbotech websited a few weeks ago but didnt see anything available for the 370z. i guess they must have recently added the 370z.
where can i get them at a reasonable price? i remember them being a little more expensive than the hawk blues for my miata.... |

Carbotech hasn't updated their site yet, but they are the same pads as the Infiniti G37 Sport so you can find them that way. They offer all of their compounds for it. You can buy them through DoubleDownMotorsports.com if you like :). |
