Fortune auto 500 series coilovers

Nobody really on MyG37.com runs these coilovers so I was hoping my brothers here can help me out.

I was thinking of running KW V3's on my G but decided to go a bit cheaper and put the extra cash saved twords an exhaust.

Anyone here know anything? Also they have a SWIFT spring upgrade I was thinking about getting. Anyone running that setup?

They look real clean:

thanks guys :tiphat:

I know the R32 guys love these

Found this thread on them also:

They are more reliable because they are "dyno tuned" to your needs...

Many coils below 1500 are not "dyno tuned" their for discredited for track use and labeled as "junk"

Have you looked at pricing? They may seem cheap but get expensive fast...my last quote was 1600+ with swift springs...

SgtGoldy 01-13-2013 12:22 AM

^Thanks you sir. Now i know there's a 510 series and want that now haha

Anyone running them on their Z's?

1600 with Swifts? That's not too bad. I'm waiting on this GroupBuy to take place and see a price on it.

Kingbaby 01-13-2013 12:27 AM

link to group buy? I might join cause my Stance need to be re built

Hasn't started yet, but I'll pm you when it does

I've got two sets sitting in my garage waiting to go on my dad's 350 and my 370. We both got the 500's with Swift upgrades. They'll be installed on both cars next month so I will be able to give you my first impression. Build quality looks superb.

They've been around for a while.

Not a Z chassis, but for the S chassis, there tends to be some positive reviews:

You guys are convincing me more, and more to go with these. I've been looking at the reviews on the older Z forums and so far im impressed

I dont understand why more G37's and 370Z's are not running em though :icon14:

I know the Z33 guys love them. There was a guy at zdayz that convinced me and my pops to get them. He had nothing but great things to say about them and was tearing up the dragon all week on his.

SgtGoldy 01-13-2013 03:16 PM

Hey sfearl1 are these camber adjustable? I purchased the Front and Rear SPC camber kit, but from the pictures it looks like it has camber plates. I guess the bulk of my statement is:

Will I need my front and rear SPC kit?

sfearl1 01-13-2013 04:38 PM

I'm running rear SPC camber arms right now with Swift springs, and plan on keeping/using them with the coils. I don't think I'll need front arms with the coils but we will see. Hopefully that answers your question.

SgtGoldy 01-13-2013 05:16 PM

Thanks sfear. Yea since I have em I might as well keep em. I was thinking about re-selling them but if it might need it, than I might as well just run em.

fuct 01-14-2013 09:24 AM

top of the line 510 series run $2200.

interesting product, in for results!

please do man, I am excited to see how you like them

sfearl1 02-15-2013 10:26 AM

Welp, bad news. Left for my coil install this morning and got pulled over for expired tags :| The Z is no longer my DD, so it's pretty much sat in the garage since November.. when the plates expired! I can't believe I let that go. I rescheduled for next Friday. Sorry guys.

What bad luck. I knew a guy that went 5 years with expired tags before getting noticed. It was in a minivan mind you, not a Z.

Yeah, it's hard to miss a Z downshifting with short tails :shakes head: Damn!

SgtGoldy 03-06-2013 01:08 AM

Sfearl, any updates?

sfearl1 03-06-2013 01:20 AM

Tomorrows the day!

SgtGoldy 03-06-2013 01:24 AM

Wow! I'm excited for you man. Honestly, I am looking forward to tomorrow as if I am the one getting them on haha! I get my RHFCs installed on Friday so I think thats adding to my excitement :D

sfearl1 03-06-2013 10:11 PM

So this definitely happened today! It was an all day ordeal. Coils and exhaust leak at one shop, then lunch, then drive across town for an alignment and [failed] emissions at a buddy's shop.

I have to adjust the coils in the front bc I'm not quite happy with the height - need moar low. I'll be able to put the car through it's paces once I'm dialed in. The short amount I did drive tho was pretty amazing. There's no more float/bounce at highway speed. It feels very planted now. Super stiff but that was expected. Here's a sneak peek..

SgtGoldy 03-07-2013 02:41 AM

I need a napkin... and a new set of pants...

fuct 03-07-2013 09:09 AM

looking good sfear... any thoughts on a wider tire in the back?

I'm actually looking at either a second set of wheels or selling these and stepping down to a 19" and running more meat. On the fence right now. If I keep these I'll definitely go with a wider tire in the rear when these tires are done. I bought the wheels with the 275's already on em.

sfearl1 03-08-2013 08:54 AM

Here's an iphone pic from yesterday. I'm still trying to get my emissions to pass, so I won't be able to post a thorough review until my car is legal..

SgtGoldy 03-10-2013 07:54 PM

So how do they feel now that you've been on them for a few days?

If your happy with them I might be grabbing a set next month :D

sfearl1 03-11-2013 06:34 PM

I've only driven on them three or four times since the install :( my car failed the emission inspection and my tags are expired right now. It's just been hard finding the time to get the car dialed in and to pass emissions. I wish I could give you a better review.. fwiw though, the car feels way more solid and responsive from the light driving I've done. I hope to have a real review after this weekend.

I am looking at some M7 coilovers +cup kit or these coilovers +cup kit.

simota1 10-08-2013 04:30 PM

i stil havent figured out the conversion kit for the m7... im wondering why do only the us brands do true coilovers and all the jdm brands do the oem type version... ive looked at all the coilovers from japan and they are all the oem type versions :(

simota1 10-08-2013 04:30 PM

gale do you have a link? to the m7?

Dozier 10-17-2013 12:15 PM

FYI...I have the 500 series on one of my track 240's. Given it isn't a 370z, I still love the handling. Car feels amazing for daily, or on the track. Just my two cents. Plan on running these soon when I get my 370 Nismo.

Sh0velMan 10-17-2013 12:21 PM

I tried for a few weeks to get more info from FA on these coilovers via email and facebook, they would never return any of my correspondence.

Ended up going a different direction due to that.

Dozier 10-17-2013 01:10 PM

Funny. I bought mine in February this year. Responded within an hour. Fast customer service. Purchased through import image if I recall correctly.

The Dimer 10-17-2013 01:15 PM

I haven't bought them yet, but they were very responsive and helpful when I inquired about a set last winter. They even said they'd make me a set of "true coilovers" after they have changed the design to our OEM style.
