Default vibrating wheel

Well I just have a little bit over 8k miles and while I start to break I feel vibration. And never been to the track or any of that stuff. But I dont know what I should do for this car. IF I needed to change my break pads what brand should I go for.

P.S my Z is a Sport Package

Rotors probably. Definitely get it looked at before you do more damage.

Agreed but 8k and bad rotors already? Must be some crazy aggressive street driving then.

If you feel the vibration all the time at speed, it's probably a tire out of balance. Could also be an out-of-round tire. Your favorite tire/alignment shop should be able to fix you up.
If you only feel it during braking, it's probably either dirt on the pads or a warped rotor. You can get brake cleaner at most auto parts stores. Rotors are an easy DIY job.

I posted this a while back in another thread... Hope it helps understand the differences.

Btw, who needs brakes anyways?

The 'warping' is a pad problem. They are getting overheated and creating judder. (Rotors rarely warp - that is just what it feels like)

When it overheats and you engage the brakes it deposits onto the rotor. So as you're braking the pad will contact the rotor but at times it will not grip in the deposit locations giving you a vibration.

Slotted rotors should help w/ this as they keep the pads fresh and the pads will take some abuse without overheating.

Also upgrading to higher temp brake pads can help.

I have the same problem. I was thinking I just needed to get the rotors resurfaced and they would be good as new. Am I wrong?

Getting the rotors resurfaced will help for the time being, ultimately it is a pad problem, not a rotor problem.

It can happen again.

Sounds like U need to turn yours, Mike. I have had brake Vibe after a track day and turned all four. Fixed my problem, and I know U can do the work yourself!

Cool thanks for the input. I dont really need brakes, they are just for daily driving I plan on taking them off this weekend and taking them somewhere to see if it does the trick!

When you do that, by law the minimum thickness of the rotor is printed on the rotor, make sure that it does not exceed that minimum thickness.
