Unfortunately the brake ducts are now in the way so it could get damaged just as easily by pulling the sensor before removing the hub. Same goes for installing the sensor after installing the hub.

It's not super fragile but doesn't like being smacked around too hard.

I have the same setup with the brake ducts, what I did was put everything in place loosely and then tighten them. For removal I remove the brake duct hose to give room to the wheel speed sensor.
