AKEBONO brake upgrade

alright guys ive read multiple reviews on this and i just wanna make sure like 100% before they work on my z tomoro...

well i got a buddy of mine selling his z this week. I made a deal with him that i would pay him and take care of the cost of swapping the akebonos from his car to my car....

so my real question is... this is gonna be a breeze right? all bolt ons no hassle right? just swap the dust shields brake lines rotors and calipers from mine to his correct?

It's pretty easy. Just different brake lines and time.

Swapping the dust shield is going to be a time consuming pain in the a$$. Just get a set of right and left tin snips and cut the rear shields off even with the lip around the back side of the parking brake assembly. I have done this swap all the way around on my 370 a 350 and the rears on another 350, let me know if you have any questions.

ill let my shop know this tip just in case they have a hard time with the dust shields

i will do this later down the line.... the swap was more of a unexpected swap... i just told my friend in a joking manner "hey bro since your selling ur car wanna swap brakes? and ill pay you?" i honestly didnt think he would even say yes...

My friend Jeremy had a touring 350z and his wife a manual G35c with brembos. Before they traded the G in on a Tahoe, I swapped out the calipers for them and the Chevy dealer didn't have a clue.

he was nice enough to work out a deal for his sport spare also

i already made the swap..... i wanted to hug him lol.....

So the guy that buys the Z from the dealer will figure it out perhaps, and they get screwed. I can just see the thread in here of the guy buying a Z with the sport package when he figures out his brakes got swapped he got screwed. It's your friends car, but a bit of a dicky thing to do to the next owner of the Z.

very true.... but the thing is majority of the people who buy the z's out here dont even know the difference, my friend who owns the 370z didnt even know the difference lol.... he was like i always thought they were all the same.... and he also said he would mention that he sold the BBK to the next owner.... nothing wrong with that i think....
