Yeah, but there is always room for human error.
If you guys care to have a look, I documented the install pretty well with pictures and have uploaded an album. The album does run in reverse though. Nissan 370Z Forum - Riptide67's Album: AccuAir Stage 2 E-level |
A bit more of an update:
I went through the car last night to address some leaks that I had throughout the tank, bag fittings, and hoses. Make sure of the following things when installing your kit. THREAD TAPE IS YOUR BEST FAWKING FRIEND!!!!!! And for the love of all that is holy, make sure your air hose is long enough and the ends are cut completely flat and not angled. Otherwise, you will end up redoing most of it. I fixed seven tank leaks, two hose leaks, and two rear bag fitting leaks. I timed the car from full to empty bags and it took only 11 minutes with the leaks. Checked on it this morning and the rear end has been fully inflated for over 8 hours. I just have two very slow leaks to address on the front end today. And on another note, mounting the sensors is a real nightmare. I unfortunately chose two shitty spots for the rear end and now have one broken swing arm on the sensor. You can still use the kit manually, but the e-level part is disabled. I have a replacement on the way from Accuair. I also got some very accurate pics from a friend that has the kit installed on his Nismo. |
Damn that sucks about the sensor, did you use teflon tape the first time and just needed more to fix the leaks? Please as many pics and tips/tricks as possible my good man. :tiphat:

Can you drive for long periods with the cup system aired up, about how much does the tank and compressor setup all weigh? |

Once I get these rear sensors mounted in their new location, I will post pics of the optimal point to mount them. |
Does anyone have experience with this setup?

Not suggested with the kit I have (Ait Motion) I think Phantom VIP says you can actually drive with it up. I've done mine on the highway for a short period and down a really bad street but I usually keep it breif to just get up and over something The compressor in the box I have weighed in about 23 lbs I think...and thats in a box with fancy plexiglass etc, so not that heavy... |
heres my new wheel set up.

Any pics of your setup you wouldn't mine sharing? |
Not many but i'll tell you this. I hid my compressors and tank under a false floor. Added a second 380c compressor and also 2 water traps, hanging off the end of each tank fitting.
You can see the tank here, this was before the second compressor was added. http://i.imgur.com/1QMp0pjl.jpg And you can see the controller here: http://i.imgur.com/CN3sDhwl.jpg The Install manual tells you this but i'll re-interate here.. You need to bash in the area behind the front struts or you'll have clearance issues with the front bag rubbing. http://i.imgur.com/0Xnuxiyl.jpg Also you'll notice I have the SPL FUCA's to correct some camber.. I'm on 20's and like less than an inch from getting the front bumper on the ground because the control arms hit the inside on the fender when fully aired out. 19" or less wheels shouldn't be an issue. http://i.imgur.com/JW9lRFkl.jpg |
