I think there's plenty of space.

It's a few extra parts and not a perfect Y split, but pre-made plastic that's cheap.

I'm using the Rocler 4" to 2" reducer. ;) They just need alittle bit of work on them.

My Stillen brake cooling kit came today. :D Hoping to have everything installed by next Tuesday. The BIG thing is cutting the holes in the front bumper.

Interested

It would be better if you designed your own ones and made them, rather than steal Nissan's intellectual property, but thats just me.

You talking about what I'm doing? Or someone else making copies of the brake ducts?

Mike 08-03-2012 09:26 AM

No, I mean someone buying a set and then making molds off them to resell as replicas. I just think thats wrong.

djtodd 08-03-2012 09:33 AM

Yeah I'm not a fan of the replica stuff either. I'm mainly making mine (from scratch) for personal use, but wanted to share with the community.

Kingbaby 08-03-2012 09:49 AM

For the rest of us to follow!

Great job op!

As for replicas...I've said my part too many times, unless it's a part you no longer can get then replica away...I don't know why they(vendors)didn't offer group buys over the knock offs now on every 370Z I see...cries inside...

No doubt :eekdance:
I'm still too chicken to cut mine as well. I'll probably hold off until I'm completely finished.

I should have some pics posted this evening sometime.
I have the main duct done and the 1x4" to 2x3" reducer/splitter roughed out with a first layer of glass. I think I'm going to leave it a 2-piece design to make assembly/disassembly easier.

I was also thinking, since I'll have two 3" tubes, it would be fairly easily to run one to the brakes and one to a gen3 (or other long tube) intake

As long as you put a suction break or whatever those thingys are called to prevent turning your engine into a wet/dry shop vac :)

A little up-date. :D Have my brake ducts installed. The left side went real smooth. The right side is a pain because of the washer reservoir. It's in the way somewhat. I had to cut the duct at an angle some, so that the reducer could clear the reservoir. If you are planning this with a 4" hose. It ain't happening unless you remove the washer reservoir. If you want to see more pictures. Look in my journal.

Looks good!

DCNISMO 08-06-2012 07:43 PM

Looks good! I'm wondering if I can use these with my Nissan cold air intake and Z1 oil cooler......I don't know if it will all fit....
