I made a rough mockup earlier today, but I'm just going to have to break down and cut the holes to get the angle just right.

Also, how to the oem ducts mount? I was thinking of a plate on the inside of the bumper. That way, I could make some studs into the duct that would go through the bumper and plate, secured by lock-nut or similar.

The way they mount is a bolt with a washer or pop-rivet in each corner. That's it. Nothing behind the bumper but a washer and nut. You have to be careful. These things are thin!

can someone post a link to the oem ones? sorta confussed

Don't have a direct link. They have been discussed on the forums. Its the same duct inlets that come on the 370z RC. They fit into the nismo front fascia, but require cutting. They are also redunculously expensive, which is why various people have been discussion frp alternatives.

I'll try to put up some pictures tomorrow of what I have so far. I'm pretty pleased with them, and total material cost will be...maybe $20. That's for the inlets. Still need to buy hoses and mounting hardware, but that is also a fairly trivial cost.

WOW $20? Anything less than $100 and people will be jumping on these. Looking forward to pics.

they won't be 20 bucks... I would venture to say 300-400 for a SET, would be a reasonable price..

Page 5 of my journal is a couple of pictures of them sitting on my work bench. :D Click on the link in my sign.

Here's the factory Nismo brake ducts that list fir $612.00 each. Also a 4" to 2" reducer that I have to machine so that it slides inside of the duct to shorten the overall length of it.

4" duct is pretty massive, 4x the air flow vs 2" duct. If you want to make the most of it you could do a 4" to 2x 3" splitter and produce an alternate hub flange that accepts 2x3" (hardcore) or direct one hose to cool the brake caliper.

Teams that run multiple brake ducts to the rotor usually just block one off if they are running at a track that isn't that demanding on brakes in order to get the temperatures into the ideal zone.

We run 2 ..3" off of the 4"
Both direct airflow to the front brakes.

Like I said ... hardcore ;)

Could use one of these Y-Connector Dust Collection Fitting - Rockler Woodworking Tools
and two of these per side Hose Reducers - Rockler Woodworking Tools
I think there's plenty of space.

It's a few extra parts and not a perfect Y split, but pre-made plastic that's cheap.

I made mine out of fiberglass, using some pvc as templates. Turned out well for 30 minutes work.
