Replace pads with stock caliper swap?

I am about to get back my powdercoated calipers and the shop I am going to be using recommended getting new brakes pads when the calipers and rotors are swapped.

Calipers are identical to factory (just had them powdercoated) and pads have about 8k miles on them with very light use – no tracking. Rotors are crossdrilled/slotted.

Just wanted to see what you all thought of getting new pads.

Im not sure why you are swapping rotors out with only 8k on them? I would just reuse the old rotors and pads if there is nothing wrong with them.
