How do slotted rotors extend the life of the pads. If anything it will chew them up faster.

Ehh, I'm sure their fine, especially for the street. For the track I don't know.

I don't believe that crap either its just a marketing pitch Anyway for track use which rotors would work best? Without changing the Akebonos brake calipers.

Avoid drilled for the track, the small cracks are more likely to connect and get bigger more quickly. Slotted is fine, helps keep the pad clean but slightly increases pad wear. Never heard of this ebay brand before.

Check out stoptech slotted or centric plain (centric and stoptech are the same company) for reasonably priced rotors.
