Does a wheels offset come into play for brake clearance or is it based more off the spoke design and width? I know 18x10.5 et30 Enkie NT03M's will clear the

Brake clearance question
Does a wheels offset come into play for brake clearance or is it based more off the spoke design and width? I know 18x10.5 et30 Enkie NT03M's will clear the AP 6 pots and the base 18x8 et43 will as long as the wheel weights are moved, but does that also mean the 18x9.5 et27 will? I know I could always buy one wheel, test fit it and see but I would rather not have to do that. SSR type F's are my next choice.
