The rears are an option. They come with a small bushing with a retainer clip to use as a stop/lock. The fronts come with locks but they are in a raw finish (not anodized). I installed everything at the same time.

ok, what i'm taking from it, they are an optional piece. i'll go ahead and pick up a set for fr/r just to be on the safe side.

You don't need to get the locks for the front unless you want the anodized colour. The front swaybar comes with silver coloured locks.
