Cross brace ... does anyone make one that isn't 1100.00?

I have looked all over, but I cannot seem to find anything... i'm just wondering if there is anyone who makes a cross member (engine bay) that isn't so expensive?

Considering that is designed to stabilize the car it will require it to be a certain weight, if you use lighter materials it is going to cost a lot more.
Also, if you want to cut weight in the engine bay there are a lot better options, battery, hood, etc.

It's not all that heavy. Plus the design is so well that no one is going to really make another. Getting a different battery and locating it to the rear is the best plan. I'll be hitting on this sometime this year.
