Default Single corner bleed

Without getting into detail why, my rear sport caliper was separated and brake fluid was allowed to release.

I didn't think this would be enough to trap air in the lines but my brakes are only currently working when I pump them.

Can I just bleed that one corner and be ok?

I have fairly open wheels and I'm hoping to be able to quickly correct this without jacking the car up on stands. I'm extremely pressed for time this week.

If you had bled the single caliper at the time of separation: yes

Now that you have put it back together and pumped the brakes a few times: maybe not. To be 100% sure that all the air is removed from the rear brake system: bleed both rear sides. If after bleeding both sides the brake pedal is still "spongy" , you still have air in the system and will have to re-bleed everything to be on the safe side.

If your that busy in your life, have a shop perform the brake bleed service and maybe save a life or two, including your own.

If that corner was allowed to drain freely (i.e. more than just a few drops from a change over) then you will have to bleed the whole car in order from furthest to closest to the master cylinder. RR->LR->RF->LF.

If it was allowed to drain completely and the car was restarted before bleeding then you will also have the problem of the ABS system containing air pockets. There is no user serviceable way to bleed this, you need to put the ABS controller into a special bleed mode that requires the Nissan scan tool, the Consult III.

If you do it with the wheels on it saves a lot of time.

That's what I'm hoping for. I grabbed a 1/4 inch clear fuel line. I'm hoping it fits the nipples.

I had a couple of different sized clear hoses sitting around. One was too small for these nipples but fit on other cars, it was the larger one that worked but I can't remember if that was 1/4 or 5/16.

Yeah I searched around, doesn't appear to be documented anywhere that I can find.
Guess I'll find out.

So the 1/4 inch is the right size. And I was able to do them with the wheels on.

Problem however is, while bleeding them seemed to correct most of the brake feel, it still feels soft. I did it a second time to be sure, there was pretty much no bubbles in the lines the first run thru. None the second. I ran about 3/4 of a pint thru the lines. Just doesn't feel the same.

Any advice?

yup, you have to remove the wheel to do it. If you have a Motive bleeder, put it at 13psi and you will open the ABS valve. It takes me about 45 minutes to do the whole job slowly

You can get to the inside nipple without removing the wheel but it is tricky in the rear.
